Absolutely loved working with Caroline from Got It Dog Training! Our dog, Bambi, can be a little unsure around guests in our apartment, and Caroline gave us really helpful strategies for making both Bambi and our guests feel more comfortable. I really appreciate that she came to our apartment and worked with Bambi one-on-one. We even had a friend come over during one session to practice everything in real time, which made me feel a lot more confident for future guests.
Caroline is incredibly knowledgeable and does a great job explaining the “why” behind dogs’ behavior. We learned so much and would absolutely recommend her!

I highly recommend Caroline! From the very first day she came to help me with Benny, I already saw such a big improvement. He used to run straight to me and jump all over me, and after working with her, his approach was completely different.
Caroline is so knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that made me feel comfortable and confident working with Benny. She was also so patient, kind, and gentle with him, which meant so much to me. I’m so thankful for all the help and guidance she gave us and I can’t wait to keep working on everything she taught us!

After working with other trainers in the past, including methods from Texas Dog Father, I experienced mixed results. In some areas, I saw small improvements, but in many others, I felt like I wasn’t making meaningful progress at all. Caroline at Got It Dog Training is wonderful, and I’m so thankful I was referred to her by a friend! My review is based on what I was looking for — someone to help train my 7 month old Golden Retriever puppy in the chaos of my life with two young children.
In a calm environment, a dog can probably succeed more easily than when surrounded by a ton of distractions, and my life is nothing if not filled with distractions! Becuase of this I really appreciated Caroline’s encouragement to involve my kids in the training and do the training amid the chaos. She gave my 7-year-old daughter tips and games to play to help also.
We originally signed up for the 10-class session, and I was already getting back on the waitlist for more before we had even finished. What I witnessed in those 10 short sessions was pretty incredible. Caroline was throwing toys into the street, and my retriever was stopping at the curb and wouldn’t go get them without permission. He was staying inside with the front door wide open while people walked their dogs on the sidewalk. He was doing great with recall and learned “bring it,” “drop it,” “get it,” “sit,” and “down” on command.
I’ve realized that a big part of the training is Caroline training ME how to continue working with him after she leaves. I went from wondering, “What was I thinking getting a giant puppy with a toddler at home?” to “Wow, I think my dog is really smart and capable, and I can actually enjoy being around him.”
Overall, if you’re on the fence, just book the sessions! You’re going to be so glad you did.

Caroline was great to work with! My boy struggled with resource guarding and counter surfing (along with other behaviors), but Caroline gave us the tools to work on them, and he is significantly better. I would highly recommend the training services due to the trust I have in the trainers!

Working with Caroline and Got It Dog Training was the best decision we made for our dog! We really appreciated her honesty and directness in telling us that there is never a cookie cutter approach to training and that each dog is different. Caroline made us realize that we needed to be trained just as much as…if not more than…our pup! The care and progress we experienced with her is unmatched. Caroline is a dog whisperer! Had her come back after an initial training about 6 months ago to do the 10 day package and saw continued results. She clearly loves what she does and takes the time to explain methods, practice with the owner, and answer questions. Highly recommend her!
