Grease Monkey

I had very professional service. It was well explained. Would definitely recommend “Grease Monkey” #201 to my neighbors!

They were polite and efficient.

Good shop. Always busy but they work fast and you spend no more than half hour there.

Just had an oil change and thorough check up on my 2018 VW Tiguan. The team at Grease Monkey is well-trained, knowledgeable and always exhibits a positive spirit! Hats off to Scott and his Grease Monkey team!!

Great service. Quick and professional without any haggling or pressure.

I was especially pleased the assistant manager gave me a website to use for ordering a new head light. Plus he was very friendly & professional.

these guys were fast and informative!

I’ve always had a great experience with the entire staff. They’re consistently friendly, honest, respectful, and very knowledgeable in what they do.

Scott and his team are awesome and honest.

Great job

The staff was friendly and very informative. I didn’t realize I came close to closing and they still took care of me and made sure to let me know what was going on with my car and had me out quick. They we’re friendly, I would recommend. I have an old 2007 Audi and they were able to work on it and have me in and out.

Scott and team are honest, and reliable. Only place I bring my vehicles been a loyal customer for over 20 years. They take great care of my vehicles and make them last!!

Great service, straight forward and no hard selling tactics.

The team is always so friendly and polite.

Grease Monkey and in particular this location is my go to for oil changes. Always a chill and laid back event.

The mechanics were friendly and efficient.

I was in and out super quick! Dominic did an amazing job!

I’ve been coming here for more years than I care to admit. Best staff ever. They really do care about your vehicle and you. Keep up the good work, guys!

Great service, prompt and straightforward. Thanks

As always, these guys did a great job. Highly recommend them for oil changes.

Service was fast and easy!

10/10

Quick and easy oil change. Always a positive experience

The cost of an oil change jumped without warning. All signage still had old prices but I was informed verbally of the so called change.

I always get my oil changed here as their prices are right and their customer service is top-notch. They always tell you to stop in to top off any fluids or for air in your tires. today I ran out of washer fluid while driving around, stopped in there and they filled it for me. No questions asked. This is why I’m a repeat customer and so is my whole family.

I have been bringing my vehicles to the Mundelein, Grease Monkey location for years. Everyone has always been honest, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and helpful. I have recommended it to family, friends, acquaintances and even strangers. It is refreshing to find a business that treats its customers like… Read full review

Great service, fast and accurate, well detailed work. Scott and his crew well recommended..

Great team of workers and friendly, highly recommend. Been going here for years even though I moved I still drive the distance.

Polite and efficient staff. Informative and helpful. Not my usual oil change spot. Oil service light came on prior to driving 3 hrs home. Not sure if this was an error or a service that is no longer offered but I miss having my windows cleaned.

Scott and team do an excellent job every time!

The staff is polite and professional and fast. I trust my car to them completely.

Very good service. They are always knowledgeable and honest with their information and recommendations.great customer service.

Very helpful, not pushy, explained upcoming suggestions but didn’t try to push me to do it now.

Very friendly staff. Had a great experience. Fast service.

Great service, quick and kind!

I have been going to Grease monkey for over 25 years and have been given amazing service from Scott and the team consistently throughout the years. This past oil change was no different. They’re quick they communicate they make the experience so wonderful and provide so much education on your vehicle!

Always Amazing and even if it’s a full oil change or just a “top off” needed these guys are always the best out there. They even check the tires too!!!

Always a great experience here. Great staff

Just had my oil topped off free of charge between standard oil changes. As usual they got me in and out quickly and gave me helpful advice for my car search.

Was reminded that I can get the oil topped off in between oil changes since my SUV burns oil.

Scott, the manager is awesome

All the staff are wonderful here. Soo helpful and knowledgeable.

Great service. Met the manager, great mechanic, very knowledgeable. Definitely will return for service. Rate 10/10

I travel 30 minutes to go to Grease Monkey . Will never go anywhere else .

Showed up without an appointment at 9 am on a Wednesday and was out within 10 minutes. Even with the $15 coupon it wasn’t cheap (~$106), but the time savings compared to waiting at the dealer are worth it. The staff are professional and work efficiently, sharing recommendations on other maintenance items without being pushy.

Always Friendly and efficient

All I can say is these guys were above and beyond. Wouldn't even allow me to tip them but I did anyway on the sly lol! I'd knocked my side mirror off on one of those construction barrels. I bought a new side mirror off of Amazon. Well this Dodge was no easy repair I asked this guy for his opinion he zipped off my… Read full review

Fast and friendly service. Job well done.

Professional and courteous!

Excellent communication and service.

Took less than twenty minutes and that included setting up a new account in the system and very pleasant chitchat! Convenient location from my office and very helpful and friendly staff. I will definitely be back for more services.

Great, friendly service. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend this store.

The guys were so nice and patient. During the inspection they found a reverse light was out. They replaced the light and did the oil change so fast. A man helped me reset the maintenance light and other settings before sending me off. There's always coupons; I saved $25 off my oil change.

I enjoy going to Grease Monkey! Unlike other places they only suggest what needs to be fixed. There isn’t a hard sell and they treat women with respect. Like we have brains also.

Excellent service and quick turnaround!! Always have a great experience here.

Staff are always professional and fast, good teamwork

Excellent, honest service. The guys at Grease Monkey were very offered a lot of input on what needed to be done (and what didn't need to be done, which is very important). I was very pleased with my experience here!

Very friendly

I bring my Dually here for oil changes a fuel filters. They are alway prompt and they charge accordingly. I would never use a dealer as long as they are around. Never a problem.

Quick and friendly service!

Very helpful and informative. Thank you for servicing my vehicle.

Great, excellent customer service. Above and beyond to help. All the staff are very kind and educated me about my card. THANK YOU!!

Always great service the staff that work there are really nice and helpful. Hope you all enjoyed the lunch!!

I waited about 45 minutes for a simple oil change even though there was only one car ahead of me. The biggest issue, though, was the price. I had previously been paying around $80 for an oil change at a local mom-and-pop shop. At Grease Monkey, I was charged around $160–170 for the exact same basic oil change with… Read full review

This Grease Monkey team is just the best!

Top notch experience. Very profressional staff and low wait times. I bring my dogs and we sit in the car while they change the oil. It's fun!

I've been coming here for years and they do a fantastic job. One of my neighborhood favorites!

Quick, efficient, personable, and professional

Very easy to deal with and cooperation with explaining the reasoning behind what they’re doing for you polite individuals

The only place i'll ever go to for my car maintenance!! All the guys here are super friendly and always do a quick and fantastic job. They've also always taken the time to show me certain things on my car to watch for for future maintenance. I greatly appreciate all their time and hard work.

Always trustworthy and helpful and they don’t try to push sells when you say no they explain and understand.

Very courteous and quick. Always a good job.

Went in for an oil change and left with my oil changed. Wasn’t pressed to get this and that fix. Good price and people.

Scott and Wes were wonderful. They were quick, efficient, and super accomodating. I appreciate their help and providing answers to any of the questions that I had. This is super rare nowadays. Thanks guys. I will be back and be sure to send people your way.

Got a fresh oil change and was able to use a $15 discount. And they were also able to rotate my tires and caught an important issue with the torquing on them. Will definitely be back for future services!

Outstanding service with a great crew . They look to help and explain how to maintain your car . Manager truly cares and learns your name

Quick, professional and efficient , thorough

Great employees. I’m a regular customer

Reasonably priced! Super fast, the staff was very polite and helpful!

Outstanding Advice. Great conversation after car was serviced. No sales pitch. 5 stars

Great service. Drove right in. 15 minutes later all done and on my way. Didn’t try to upsell me anything. Pleasant to talk to.

Grease Monkey is awesome! Professional, friendly and courteous. I have had some sketchy experiences elsewhere. I have no problem coming back or referring others here. Thank you for the great service you provide. It’s nice leaving and not having to worry about leaks or any other issues.

Does not stock Mobil 1. Limited to duramax branded oil. $110 for full synthetic. If you are in a rush service is fine but at the price might be better to find an alternative.

Honest, reliable, quick and professional. Highly recommended.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, didn’t try to push anything unnecessary. And super quick! will definitely be back

Knowledgeable and fast service!

This Grease Monkey location is fantastic! We've been visiting this location since it's inception and have not once been disappointed. I took my Highlander in this week and again was so happy leaving! Fantastic oil change experience. They listen to all of my fears, answered all of my questions, helped me budget out the work that will need to be done on my car in the future, told me exactly what to expect and what to do. Fantastic patience and great service.

Fantastic service. No BS.

This guy has been taking care of my vehicle for a while I believe he is the manager of the place great service!

Always good service. I’m in and out in the time it would take me to get to my my dealer.

They do a fast oil change and are very friendly. Call before you show up, they will offer you a coupon

They did a great job. They take time to explain what I need to know. A little expensive, but competitive with everyone else.

Always nice when I come in.

The staff was awesome. Super helpful and friendly. Explained well. The only thing I would tag for improvement is the customer sitting area.

Dropped by for an oil change - was pleasantly surprised at how great this place is. Very professional, very fast, very polite - a splendid service overall.

Always a positive experience, never pressured for upsells, just service needed and on my way. Shout out to Scott!

Love Grease Monkey! Very Professional and fast honest service! Thank you

Always great service and not pushy

In and out quickly.

Quick service with a knowledgable and friendly staff. Some places make you feel like you are a burden on them, Grease Monkey did not do that.

Quick clean professional service every time I come here I feel respected as a customer. They don’t push nonsense on me. They do recommend certain things, but they’re never trying to sell you what you don’t need. PS. Shot out to Scott always sell for.

Scott was absolutely fantastic!!!! Very kind, soft spoken, doesn’t push you to purchase their most expensive products, quick, door to door service. Literally, Scott pulled my car into the shop, pulled it out, and a gentleman.

My son brought the car in for an oil Change only…which he stated. They proceeded to change the cabin filter without his consent and charged him an add’l $53 for that. Very unprofessional, I will look for another oil change provider from now on.

This place is great, I was laughing and enjoying myself while I got my oil changed…I’ll be back for my tire rotation too!!! Thanks Grease Monkey!!!! Franz is amazing!!!

Great service and very knowledge staff.

Great service , however , even with the coupon , it's expensive.

I have been going to Grease Monkey for over a decade and never had a bad experience! Everybody who works there is kind, polite, and knowledgeable. Taking in my car feels less of a chore because they are personable and easy to work with. I always recommend Grease Monkey to my friends.

Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable! The guy helping me out explained everything really clearly and didn’t pressure me to get unnecessary services done. I will be back!

I meant to write this review a couple of months ago. I called in first thing in the morning, sort of in distress. I was stressed about my car and money. Great staff and great service!

Always great service by the guys here!

Great service! Very professional. There was an issue with getting the right oil filter, and because I had to wait so long they didn't charge for the filter. They also replaced my tire valve core for free.

Scott and his crew are great!!

Very impressive with their honesty and knowledge in working on the vehicles.

Professional and fast.

Very friendly worker. They take there time checking everything and making sure everything is right before you leave.

Great service!

They did an awesome job today. They check everything out and told me what needs to be done. I will go back and back to them again in the future. Thank you guys 👍😊

Been going here for years. Scott and the guys always get me in and out quickly. Just an oil change and lube this time, but so fast there is literally no time for a coffee. Nice job, fair price, no wait, what's not to like!

Scott and his team always do a great job and I take my car to them every time I need a full service oil change.

Scott always remembers me and makes me feel good. He is a true expert when it comes to service. Class Act!!! I would have no hesitation or reservations about trusting grease Monkey team with my automobiles. They even let me know when they see wear or issues before hand. Great team!!

Really good service and super friendly. Also recommended some maintenance that they don’t even do - really professional.

Great costumer service Very helpful Friendly Explain everything they were doing. I will diffently come back again.

On a visit for a regular oil change, Scott and his staff found a broken sway bar link, an obvious safety concern for me getting back on the road. The staff went above and beyond, replacing the part in a timely manner and with reasonable cost. They made my truck safe to drive again, treated me with respect, and… Read full review

Nate, Keith and the crew are top-notch! I made a big mess in the engine and the fellas cleaned it up for me! And, with their covid protocols, I did not even need to get out of the car! Thanks crew!

Excellent service & very professional staff. Always willing to go above & beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

By far, Grease Monkey in Mundelein has been the best for oil changes and car maintenance. These guys are courteous and efficient. I trust them to tell me what work, if any, must be completed and by when. I moved out of Mundelein but will keep my business with facility!

The staff at this location in Mundelein is hard-working and honest. They know what they are doing and work quickly to get me in and out within 15 minutes. Fair and honest. Good people!

Amazing service! They really go above and beyond for their customers.

Excellent experience! Knowledgeable and attentive staff. 10/10!

I trust them with my car to give me the service I need and not take advantage. They do a great job while being professional and friendly. I am particularly very impressed with Scott who I believe is the manager. He is so knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. I will keep bringing my car back there again and again.

Pauline

Paid for a full service oil change. Which they did just fine. It’s the little things they don’t do anymore which I miss like washing the windshield or vacuuming the car out. Not a big deal but watching them all stand around when they could have one person do these things when they aren’t busy would be nice.

Very friendly and professional, always good experience, even they fixed my hood lock on they own. Amazing. 5 stars

Normally I would give 5 stars. This time they did not complete everything on the check list but marked it completed. Windsheild was not cleaned, now I wonder what else did they not do?

Love that I can stay in my car. Easy in and out. Place to go before you hit the road as they check fluids, tire pressure wipers and lights so you head out safely. Convenience and caring staff is worth the price

Top notch team! Scott and Nate are pros!

I sure would've liked to know the young man's name that synod my pickup. He was very thoughtful and professional. Exactly why I keep goin back to those guys!

They are always very nice but the kid did not do all of the steps. He never checked the tire, or air filter .

Very knowledgeable and excellent service

The team at Grease Monkey is always friendly, courteous and efficient. They are honest and I feel confident in their diagnosis.

. They worked quickly and efficiently to get my oil changed and me back to work during my lunch break. Appreciate it. Will be back

I have been going to this particular grease monkey for probably between 8-10yrs now and the guys are so friendly and helpful and I trust their recommendations always! Highly recommend!!!

Excellent service, fast, efficient and professional. Staff is always friendly and courteous. My family takes all of their cars there for oil changes and other services. I highly recommend Grease Monkey at the Mundelein location.

I have been a customer of Grease Monkey Mundelein for quite a few years. I've always been happy about their professionalism. Today I took my car and the service was subpar... Definitely below average service for $116 synthetic oil change with a $15 coupon. I understand I was the last customer but I felt rushed.… Read full review

Everything was done in a fast, efficient & very knowledgeable way. Overall service was excellent. Would recommend to everyone.

I moved to the area last year and I’m very happy to have this location near home. The manager and other employees are always friendly and efficient. I went in for my third service today, and as usual, it was a positive experience.

The employees were very kind and provided me with great recommendations to keep my car running great!

Overall pretty bad, and I won't be going back. Stopped here in a pinch for an oil change and for advertising a "15 minute oil change" it certainly took much longer. I had a coupon (which was honored) but the parts of the offer that were listed (tire check, cleaned windshield) were not completed although they… Read full review

I cannot prove this but, I got my oil changed here in February and a month ago I noticed drops of oil under my car then turned into a slow stream. I took my car to a mechanic shop and he said the drain plug on the oil pan was stripped and silicone was used to seal and hold it in place. It ended up costing me $380.00… Read full review
