We started a little while ago for my daughter who struggles with reading. She goes 5 days a week for 15 minutes and it has been such a great option with the other stuff we do with her especially since we are on summer break!! We have loved having Joelle as our tutor.

I am glad I found Great Leaps. Great Leaps was the only tutoring program that would work with my schedule. My child was falling behind in reading to the point where the subjects they liked were starting to be negatively affected. I reached out to several tutors in the area. They all required an every week commitment. X number of days each week at X time with little to no room for flexibility. This regimented schedule did not work with my parenting plan.
I knew my child needed help in addition to what we were doing on our own outside of school. The other parent said they were so far behind due to a non-specific learning disability and chose not to follow through with any additional intervention outside of school.
Janna and Kayla made it possible to fit as many sessions in as possible. After school, before school, not this week but next week, this holiday caused a schedule change, can we fit in an additional session?
In 10 months my child has grown 2.5 years. In that time, they improved by 20 points on their FAST test only missing level 3 by 1 point. All other FAST tests improved to level 3 almost level 4 “at or above grade level”. My child even improved over summer when most children regress.
This growth was in spite of being limited by a 50/50 parenting plan. The progress reports from Janna were uplifting confirmation that we made the correct choice. Together as a team we worked hard to increase WPM, fluency and comprehension. Your struggle is real. Great Leaps may be able to help.

We have been using Great Leaps with our son for almost two years. Our son is dyslexic and we wanted to find a program that could work with our busy schedules. The 15 minute lesson plans with his tutor have been really successful. He gets to practice his fluency and comprehension in a short but very effective format. His tutor Sonya has been amazing! She's his biggest cheerleader and the progress that he has made, not only with his reading and comprehension but how he reads with confidence, increased fluency and real expression. Great Leaps is worth the investment and I would recommend it to any family that is looking to improve their child's reading prowess. Thank you Great Leaps!

This program has been effective with the 4th grade students I have been providing a reading intervention. I plan on using it for older grades for intervention time as well. We’ve had a great experience with this online tutoring program. Sandy is very friendly, and my 8-year-old son is always excited to work with her, which makes a big difference in keeping him engaged.
At home, it can be challenging to get him to read, but I am starting to see positive changes. Even though the sessions are only about 15 minutes a day, they seem to be helping.
Overall, I believe this is a work in progress, but we are definitely seeing improvement and are happy with how things are going so far.

Our tutor is absolutely amazing. She has tutored both of my children for several years now, and feels like a part of our family at this point! Both kids have dyslexia and while it did take time, both no longer need reading intervention at school and are doing well. I can't imagine they would be where they are without the additional daily help from Great Leaps. We found the short but frequent sessions to be much better than longer less frequent sessions for our kids. I highly recommend Great Leaps for any kids struggling with reading!
