Jarid's personality makes the whole company. He's 100% present investigating the question. And, it turns out that the blower door test is really helpful. I joined in feeling around every window, door, light fixture, outlet, bathroom fan, shower head, duct intake, ceiling register, plumbing penetration, and floor board and it's shocking how much air is pulled into the house through so many places when a big fan is pulling air out of the front door. Then Jarid had special devices that measured the air flow making it into the house from the exterior at each wall penetration, so that the options could be ranked, so I can fix the top 25 problems instead of every single light, outlet, plumbing penetration, and AC duct in the whole house. I have two sliding doors and one had no air flow making it through and the other had lots of air flow. I'd've never known without his fan pulling air out of the whole house so strong that I could feel the breeze making it through the leaky door with my hands. It's now going to be a big project to seal all these leaks, but at least I have a direction so my effort solves my biggest problems (which were bathroom exhaust fans in my case). And, if I really want it, I can have him come back and get my house leak score again and get a measurement of the progress I'm making. Jarid is such a great guy that I'd look for opportunities to hire him again.

I had Green Energy Testing perform a blower door and duct inspection because my home has had persistent high indoor humidity for years, despite having a 5-ton Rheem A/C system and a whole-house Honeywell dehumidifier.
Jarid did an outstanding job. He didn’t just run the blower door test and hand me the results. He took the time to thoroughly inspect the house, the attic, the ductwork, and the return system. He systematically ruled out possible causes and explained every step of his investigation.
The final report was extremely detailed, with measurements, photographs, and clear explanations of what he found. Rather than recommending unnecessary work, he identified what appears to be the root cause of the problem: the original undersized return air system built into the wall cavities, which is allowing attic air to be drawn into the HVAC system.
I especially appreciated that his recommendations were based on testing and observations—not guesses or sales tactics. The report gives me a clear roadmap to discuss with HVAC contractors and has likely saved me from spending money replacing equipment that wasn’t actually the problem.
If you’re dealing with comfort issues, humidity problems, or suspect air leakage in your home, I highly recommend Green Energy Testing. This was one of the most thorough and professional home inspections I’ve ever had.

Jarid is absolutely incredible. Very kind and knowledgeable. I explained the issues we have been having in our attic and with our AC and he assured me he would be able to pinpoint the problem source. I had already called other vendors who gave me the run around and made the problems sound worse than they were. Jarid was on time, super kind and took the time to answer all my questions and explained everything to me so thoroughly.
He went above and beyond and check more areas than I expected to insure we got to the root of the problem. He provided me with a clear report, with pictures and helped make the next steps very clear. I cannot recommend him enough. He should be your first call when building a house or preventing any problems with your HVAC and ducts. He has so much knowledge of potential problems and how to prevent you from costly repairs down the road!
