This is our first summer there and i have nothing negative to say. I love the part that no parents are allowed in the building during school hours, it helps keep our babies safe. The camp have a lot of fun and learning activities, the other day my babies came home talking about they rode a pony and i looked at them like yeah right you probably saw one in a book or on tv and low and behold when i opened the app i received pictures of them on a real pony!!! Lol lol. I was pleasantly surprised. The drop offs and pick ups i really love because you do not need to get out of your car, the staff receive the babies at the door in the morning and walk them to your car in the evening. The other day i had a little concern about my daughter and a staff called me within the our of my sending the message and she reassured me my baby is welcomed and loved at the camp and it made my concerns go away instantly. My babies will be leaving Aces to after school there the next school year. Mister Pridgen Aka Mister P(that is what my son call him) is always smiling.

My son loves going to summer camp and the people are so nice there and they go a lot of places for the kids and we are looking forward to next year. Thank you 😊
This is my son’s first year attending Growing the Distance and so far I am really glad that he is there. There is something to do everyday and when I pick him up he has some exciting story that he needs to me.
The GTD Staff Is Passionate about kids!! The GTD staff took strategic time to plan engaging and uplifting summer experiences for ALL campers. I’m impressed by the fun and enrichment the kiddos have daily. My daughter absolutely loves it. So glad we joined the fun this summer. Highly recommend!!
My daughter has been attending Growing the Distance summer camp for 2 years now last year she was an Aggie and she had fun and also learned which is very important to me. This year has been 10xs better in my daughter words she is a Spartan this year and she brags about the fun trips and activities that they do on a weekly basis. Definitely would recommend it 10/10.
If I could give Growing in the Distance Summer Camp 10 stars, I absolutely would. My child genuinely loves going to camp every single day. She wakes up excited to be there, and as a parent, there is no better feeling than knowing your child is happy, safe, and eager to return. That speaks volumes about the environment the staff has created. Since attending, I’ve seen noticeable growth in her confidence, social skills, and overall development. Being around other children in such a positive and encouraging setting has made a real difference. It’s clear that this isn’t just a place where children are supervised—it’s a place where they are nurtured, encouraged, and given opportunities to grow. One thing that truly sets Growing in the Distance apart is their commitment to each child’s individual development. They actually ask parents if there are specific educational or learning goals we’d like them to focus on. That level of communication, partnership, and genuine investment in each child’s success is something you don’t find everywhere. The staff is caring, attentive, patient, and professional. They make every child feel valued, and it shows in the way the children respond to them. You can tell this team loves what they do, and they pour that passion into the children they serve every day. I also really appreciate that they offer additional programs like their after-school program, tutoring services, and enrichment workshops, which shows their ongoing commitment to supporting children and families year-round. It’s reassuring to know there are multiple opportunities for learning and growth in such a positive environment. Thank you for creating such an amazing environment where children can learn, grow, build friendships, and simply enjoy being kids. I wholeheartedly recommend Growing in the Distance Summer Camp to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and enriching program. If Google allowed it, this place would absolutely get 10 stars from me.
Hands down the best camp my girls have been to! Very fun, organized and engaging. Mr. P and Ms. Mayo ensure the kids safety and implement an educational structure. What more can you ask for as a parent! Highly recommend Growing The Distance Summer Program!
My son absolutely loves Growing the Distance Summer Camp! The staff is incredibly friendly, supportive, and so patient with the young children. They do a wonderful job communicating with parents, making sure we are well prepared for each week with clear updates and information. Every week is filled with fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities. My son is always so excited to tell me about everything he did each day. He has made wonderful memories and meaningful friendships during his time there. As a mother who is very protective and selective about who cares for my child, I can honestly say they have exceeded all of my standards and expectations. Knowing my son is in a safe, caring, and positive environment gives me complete peace of mind. I highly recommend Growing the Distance to any family looking for an exceptional summer camp or/and afterschool program! We have already decided that he will be returning next summer.
My daughter absolutely loves Growing the Distance! From the very beginning, the staff has made her feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn every day. They do an amazing job teaching the children important life skills like manners, respect, kindness, and understanding their emotions. I really appreciate that they focus not only on academics but also on helping the children grow socially and emotionally. They always have fun and engaging learning activities that keep the children interested while making sure they continue to learn and develop new skills. I can see how much my daughter has grown in her confidence, communication, and love for learning since attending. One of her favorite things is the field trips. She always looks forward to them and comes home so excited to share everything she experienced. It’s wonderful to know she’s having fun while also learning outside of the classroom. I truly appreciate the care, patience, and dedication the staff shows every day. It gives me peace of mind knowing my daughter is in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where she is encouraged to learn, grow, and be herself. I highly recommend Growing the Distance to any parent looking for a place that genuinely cares about their child’s development and well-being.
