A friend and coworker of mine went here AFTER me telling him that we qualify for claiming our tools on our taxes. Whoever he went to "didn't let us do it", I looked up the subject on Google and THEIR OWN SITE said that there are two qualifiers for claiming tools, they are an employee as opposed to self employed which he is an employee and that they are required to have the tools to do their job which he is. This is why I can't stand "employees" of places like this, they not only dont know the law/tax code, they don't care. They are there for a paycheck and that is it. Filing taxes on one's own is progressively easier anymore, and since it is YOUR MONEY you can be more indepth AND learn ways to make your return greater by finding out what you can deduct. These people are required to show you proof of their claims, if you think you can and they say you can't MAKE THEM SHOW YOU.
