Just had my taxes done here after moving from Michigan. They were helpful, polite and seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because they didn't seem as organized as I am used to from other tax preparers I've used in the past. I had to call back and forth a lot before they got all the information they needed which I felt could have been handled in just one conversation. But perhaps that was my fault as I was a new client and didn't have time for their consultation meeting. Overall my experience was good and I look forward to using them again in the future.
Side note: Biggest complaint is that parking lot!!! You better have excellent brakes to park on that slope! Like woah 😳

Hey Heather! Thanks for the review, we look forward to building a relationship with you in the coming years. Sorry about the parking lot, I wish it was an easy fix!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
After a number of years with them it came to our attention that they did not file our 2021 taxes or file an extension. When we approached them on this (Joan) we were promptly terminated as clients. We came to find that they had never cleaned up our quick books like we had been paying for them to do, they had been filing everything late, they recorded twice as much income as we brought and wrote off nearly nothing. When we were terminated we had been making monthly payments but were promptly sold to a collections attorney that promptly sued us. We had to hire lawyers and new accountants to figure this out. We came to find that because of the non and late filing the IRS thinks we owe tens of thousands of dollars. We are no spending thousands to try and solve the mess they made for us.
We will be lucky if our company of 25 years survives this.

Don was absolutely awesome! Will definitely be going to him for taxing season. Helped my confused partner understand what was wrong with his taxes and cleared it all up. Very VERY satisfied with his services.

My husband and I have been clients of Hemenway Associates for 15 years. They continue to share their knowledge, expertise,, and professionalism with us. They maintain confidentiality. When needed the staff work together to double check documents before submitting them to entities such as the IRS. We no longer live in NE, but we still send legal documents and financial matters to them.
