My neighbor recommended these guys highly. She was right. In perpetual motion, they eliminated 12 large stumps of recently cut trees, removing large stones and grinding deep. Hercules strong like bull

Hercules should have been my first call for stump grinding. A different company went weeks without responding to my calls. When I reached out to Hercules, they arrived the same day to provide a quote and schedule the removal for the next day. The stump was a few feet away from some arborvitaes and an AC condenser; they were very careful to protect all of these and left the yard very clean when they finished. It's a professional, friendly company -- and always good to support a local business.

Hercules was good at getting back to me quickly, providing a reasonable quote, and getting the stump ground down within a week. Very satisfied that they were able to get this done from start to finish more quickly than other services even returned a call.

Just the best. Hercules was timely and responsive when I called to ask if they could take care of the two stumps from my recently removed hemlocks. The stumps were in a congested area, so that they made a separate trip out to make sure they could move the equipment in without damaging surrounding bushes etc. I was very impressed with how delicately they maneuvered around plantings and with the care they took on my gravel walkway. They came when they said they would, did the job fast and efficiently, left the whole area neat and were pleasant to work with. Five stars easy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Family-run business delivering top-tier service 👏
💬 Great communication
Took the time to understand exactly what we needed, explained everything clearly, and sent helpful reminders before the job.
🛠️ Exceptionally thorough work
Went deep and wide — easily 2–3x deeper than typical stump grinding. This made it possible for us to replant in the same spot 🌳. Even asked me to inspect everything before they left.
🧹 No mess left behind
Protected the surrounding area, were careful with our lawn, and cleaned everything up before leaving.
🤝 Friendly & trustworthy
A true family operation — Gary, his wife, and his father. Just genuinely good people.
💡 Bottom line:
If you like supporting local businesses that do high-quality work, this is a no-brainer.
