I came to try the ashtanga class and I think it was a sub instructor bc the class was definitely not ashtanga. It felt more like Pilates meets yoga. Then instructor also spilled essential oils on my liforme mat. 😬 It does look like a really nice studio tho. Everyone’s very friendly. I’ll see if it’s better next time and update. Update: Studio reached out to me, and its much appreciated.
One of the best yoga studios in town. Great teachers, many types of classes to choose from, clean studio, and very helpful and kind staff. Bonus: plenty of parking in the neighborhood around the studio and the post office lot outside of business hours.
I love Highland Park Yoga — such a great space, lovely people and excellent teachers. I also collaborate with them several times a year, facilitating sound baths and it’s one of my favorite spaces to work in LA!
Love this studio, teachers and front desk staff ! I stayed in HLP over the Christmas break on a solo adventure and was so grateful to find studio to practice at and some friendly faces. I took three classes with different teachers being a yoga teacher / yoga therapist I can be a little fussy whom I take yoga with. But I loved the three classes! Highly recommended!!
Booked a class, was overbooked, they still kept the money. Wouldn’t have cared if they at least gave the money back. Great model, take peoples money and don’t provide the service.
Hi Alex, we got to the bottom of what happened and want to take full responsibility for this mistake. Instead of refunding the cost of the class to your credit card, the front desk staff member that was working the night you visited the studio returned the class credit to your account for future use. Our front desk staff also emailed you (and the person you were with) later that evening to let you know they’d gifted you each an additional class for the inconvenience of not being able to join the class. We also want to apologize for the fact that you didn’t realize you had been added to the waitlist rather than signed up for the class — unfortunately this is a longstanding issue with our software platform that we’re working to resolve. We have issued a full refund for the class you purchased, and we’re leaving the gifted class on your account in case you’d like to come back and try the studio again sometime :) Sorry again that this happened. Please reach out to us any time if you have any other questions or concerns. ______________________________ Original response: Hi Alex! We’re so sorry to hear about your experience. Occasionally our classes do fill up and have waitlists, but if a waitlisted student is unable to make it into the class, we always refund them for the class they purchased. We take great care with customer service at our studio and we would love to make this right! We don’t believe we’ve received any customer service inquiries from you about this issue, so if you could send an email to [email protected] and let us know the name on your account, we’ll refund you for your purchase right away. Thank you! HLP Yoga team
Took the yoga en español with mercy. The class was incredible. The facilities are ample and clean and welcoming.
Beautiful Yoga studio surrounded by beautiful and not pretentious neighborhood. Customer service at the front desk was great and the instructors are a plus. Classes are fun for different levels. Namaste! I will back!🥰
I could write a book about how great this place is. Highlights— friendly, professional, helpful, instruction during class is clear and insightful. I never feel judged or indoctrinated—everything is open and simple. Women owned and LGBTQ FRIENDLY! Clean and they have special air purifiers that make it fresh at all times. They go above and beyond to help their students. They remember people and are really chill about it. And at the same time their attitude is really approachable and you can tell they’ll help you patiently with anything. People seem really happy to work here and it shows. They still do donation based yoga on Sunday! Be sure to donate, it goes to charity. I think the instructors are yogis training in their teacher program. The employees asked me what I thought of the teachers but then I got sick and had to stop going. I came back months later and they remembered me! Best yoga studio in the world! Heehee :)
I’ve done sound baths, events and yoga here. Wonderful community, always clean and smells incredible, and the owners really care about providing a holistically positive experience for all.
The best and most welcoming Yoga studio I've been to in LA. Nicole at the front desk is the nicest person ever, and all the teachers are really solid. I've done like 60+ classes here at this point. I do miss more classes being on the patio, but I also understand the smaller capacity out there makes it challenging from a business sustainability standpoint.
