HNST Environmental

John Skelly and HNST Environmental did our mold inspection and post-remediation testing in Mamaroneck. John was very responsive and accommodating, and he worked around our schedule. He was thorough, explained what he found in plain terms, and gave us a clear, detailed report. His independent view was exactly what we needed to judge whether the remediation was truly finished. Highly recommend him to anyone dealing with mold.

John was incredible to work with. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and taught me so much throughout the inspection process. He thoroughly inspected every inch of our home and left no stone unturned. He took the time to clearly explain all of his findings, provided a detailed report, and gave practical recommendations to address the conditions that contributed to our mold issues. He also answered every question we had and continued to be a valuable resource long after the inspection, including after the remediation was completed four months later. It's clear that John takes great pride in his work and understands how important it is to his clients. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a thorough, professional, and trustworthy mold inspector.

HNST is who you want inspecting your home for mold. John performed a thorough inspection and found mold in several areas of our home that 2 other inspectors missed. His remediation protocol documents were also thorough yet clearly written and easy to understand. He was available for questions and follow up concerns before, during and after our remediation project. John’s knowledge of mold, mold remediation, illnesses caused by mold and small particle cleaning is exceptional. If you are dealing with mold, you want HNST by your side. If I could give a 100 star review, I would.

Let me begin by saying that while I have no previous experience to compare this one I will say that John Skelly of HNST Environmental came to my attention through a respected referral. He is reliable, very knowledgable and available despite his busy schedule. He came and completed a mold assessment in my one bedroom apartment and spent time explaining what he was doing while he was doing it and even showing me his findings. He spent a good amount of time at my home and within several days to a week sent me a very extensive and comprehensive report. The report was a bit overwhelming because of all he includes; not only the mold report but a ton of resources. I found that taking a break and just going over each segment one at a time helped me to digest the information and decide which segments are the priority at each stage. I am now in the process of hiring a mold remediator and I know that John will be available if needed during this process. Thank you John!!

Working with John at HNST Environmental is one of the best decisions we’ve made for our home and health. He took the time to walk us through the house, show us exactly what he was seeing, and patiently answered our many questions. He is super knowledgeable and his report was comprehensive without feeling overwhelming. Most importantly - he helped us understand what needs attention and provided clear, actionable guidance. Thank you, John - we are so grateful!

I had an excellent experience with John. He did thorough inspection and provided a detailed 50 page report.I also appreciate his support after the inspection. he guided me and remediator throughout the remediation process, answered all the questions promptly. If you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, responsive and genuinely committed to helping clients through mold inspection and remediation process ,i highly recommend HNST.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with John. Dealing with concerns about mold in your home can be incredibly overwhelming, and from the moment John arrived, I felt like I finally had someone who genuinely cared about helping me understand exactly what was happening in my home. He was incredibly thorough and meticulous with his inspection, taking his time and paying attention to every detail. What impressed me most was that he didn't just perform the testing and leave, he took the time to explain everything in detail. He made a complicated and stressful situation much easier to understand. John's professionalism, knowledge, patience, and communication were exceptional. It was very clear that this is more than just a job to him, he takes pride in his work and genuinely wants his clients to feel informed and confident about what is happening in their homes. When you are dealing with something as important as the safety and condition of your home, having someone you can trust makes all the difference. I am incredibly grateful that I chose John for my inspection and would highly recommend him without hesitation to anyone needing a knowledgeable, honest and extremely thorough mold hygienist. Thank you John for going above and beyond! You truly gave me clarity and peace of mind during a very stressful situation.

John did a massive lad inspection 10 years ago for a client of mine. I was so impressed by John I kept his contact information.. This time I needed an inspection done for myself on a property I plan on buying, John didn’t disappoint. He was very accommodating to my time constraint and did a thorough inspection for us. I would highly recommend John to any of my clients. He is also very personable and professional. Stephanie Lesslauer KW Village Square Realty

John is thorough, knowledgeable and provides customer-focused service.

Exceptional experience with HNST. They helped me get through a crawlspace mold remediation that required them to do repeated inspections (post-remediation verification PRV in the industry lingo) to document with photos and lab results what the other firm was doing (or not doing to be more precise) on the remediation. Don’t hesitate to use HNST as inspectors to protect yourself in a remediation. Thanks again to the HNST team.
