Personally would NOT recommend. From the lack of communication, and poor scheduling to the sad finish and the conversation with those trying to “make it right” EXTREMELY overpriced especially for the lack of quality. The cost was high but would have been a little more reasonable had we got a professional product with the professional pricing. My man went with the first company that popped up on Google, and followed through to surprise me with a finished garage. Sadly, it was nothing but a headache, and a disappointment. $6500 for them to Sheetrock our ceiling, mud 3 walls, and apply a thin layer to the firewall. At the final walk through we informed them that sheet rock was put over the light switch so with a cover on, it was unusable, (their fix was to cut a jagged hole and then patch their cut worse than my 2 year old would have done). They tried to tell my boyfriend we didn’t pay for finished edges, not to mention the mud strips that were still hanging, or the unfinished fills in the corners or at the base. Eventually it was agreed they would come back tomorrow. (Which they did) They threatened late fees if we didn’t pay the bill so the bill got paid. Nobody came back to check the final product. We were told to put our belongings into the center of the garage and they would cover it. Got home from work day 1 (after it rained all day) and my belongings were put outside. I mean if you wanted them in the weather conditions wouldn’t you have had them outside and not in the garage? Oh and my belongings were covered (they were up until they weren’t). Nobody would know because either they pulled the plastic too early and sanded without it or they pulled the plastic off half-ass and it covered our belongings in the dust anyway. Ruining some of my belongings. Again here we are 2 weeks later and he asked them what to do with the bag of their garbage they left outside. We were advised to call our garbage company… sooo pay another $200+ to haul away their junk. I did receive a phone call from the general manager Jessica to discuss the matter after she gathered her research. She was understanding and easy to work with but when I still advised I was not happy so she placed me on hold and had the individual in charge of our project get on the phone to discuss the issues. The Outlet Issue: Supposedly they suggested that we go to the hardware store and get an extender to pull the light switch out. Why No Final Final Walk-Through: ‘when the bill was paid we figured everything must’ve been okay’ The Dust on Our Belongings: ‘Ma’am do you even know the Sheetrock process or have you been around the Sheetrock process?’ The Baggster Issue: ‘Usually homeowners put their own garbage in it so it’s never been a problem’ (let me inform you there isn’t even room for us to put our own garbage.) I will say there was a misunderstanding at some point and I apologize on my part for the misunderstanding, but that doesn’t fix all of the issues. They offered me a $200 refund for the baggster, but asked that I remove my review. After I advised I would delete only the facts and my misunderstanding the individual became very condescending with his “have you ever done Sheetrock or been around it” I replied “obviously not because if I did I wouldn’t have paid you $7000 to do it” his demeanor continued and I advised I was done with the conversation. Unfortunately, we planned on hiring them for some other projects, but now will be going elsewhere. Whatever you do, do NOT go with these guys.

Bethani, While we respect your right to leave a review, we also have a responsibility to ensure that the information being presented about our company accurately reflects the work we were contracted to perform. Several concerns in your updated review appear to relate to poor-quality work that was completed years before our involvement, as well as electrical adjustments that were outside our contracted scope or previously discussed with Aaron. To clarify, Home Drywall & Painting did not install the drywall on the three existing garage walls. That work had been completed by others years earlier. Our contracted work involved repairing and finishing those existing surfaces; we were not responsible for the original installation or any pre-existing deficiencies. Regarding the firewall, Aaron was advised that the added drywall thickness would require a box extender to properly accommodate the existing switch. This was not an electrical modification included in our contract. The phone conversation did not resolve the concerns as management had hoped. However, we continued making efforts to reach a resolution. Therefore, it is not accurate to state or imply that no further efforts were made after that conversation. Following the call, management reached out to you directly by text to arrange a conversation with our owner. That message went unanswered. Our owner then attempted to contact Aaron directly, also without a response. We were prepared to discuss additional cleanup, corrections to any verified deficiencies within our scope, and other reasonable resolutions. Unfortunately, we cannot move toward a resolution without communication from the parties involved. Regarding the $200 offer, we would like to clarify its purpose. This amount was offered specifically to address your concerns regarding the Bagster disposal fees, which you felt were an unfair additional expense. It was a good-faith effort to resolve that particular concern, not an acknowledgment of deficient workmanship. Separately, we requested that the review accurately distinguish between work performed by Home Drywall & Painting and pre-existing conditions or work completed by others. These were two separate matters. We stand behind the work we were contracted to complete, and we take legitimate customer concerns seriously. What we cannot do is accept responsibility for poor-quality work completed years before our involvement, work performed by others, or matters outside our contracted scope. We also cannot disregard the continued efforts we made to communicate and pursue a resolution. We continue to stand by our commitment to resolving customer concerns fairly and professionally. The door remains open for further communication in hopes of reaching an amicable resolution that is fair to all parties involved. Any further discussions regarding this matter will be handled directly by the owner of Home Drywall & Painting, who remains willing to personally address your concerns and work toward a mutually agreeable outcome.
