We had a very good experience working with Will Hooy on our estate plan. He was thorough, patient, and responsive to our many questions, and he took the time to explain the provisions and make revisions so the documents reflected what we wanted.
Our situation also involved an Illinois LLC, and we appreciated that he reviewed the LLC membership assignment to make sure it was consistent with the trust. We especially appreciated his attention to detail and his willingness to explain both the estate-planning and practical funding issues. The signing process was also smooth, and his staff was helpful and professional.
We are very pleased with the final result and would highly recommend Hooy & Hooy PLC for estate planning.
William was wonderful helping my uncle create his trust and pour over will. My uncle has some health issues and William was willing to accommodate us with time, space and patience. He was very good at explaining the process and options in layman terms. He was a great listener and understood the nuances of what my uncle wanted in his documents. We highly recommend William Hooy.

I had an outstanding experience w/ William Hooy & his firm. If you're like me, most of us only seek legal advice when something goes wrong or you're being proactive about protecting something. In our case, Hooy & Hooy PLC helped us establish a trust.
I really liked working with them for a couple reasons:
1. they're local: I can go to them in-person
2. William is a young millennial like me: he's going to be practicing law for a long time which is good! Laws change over time.
3. Transparent about the process: timeline, pricing, what I needed to do vs. what they would be responsible for.
4. They are experienced and spend the time to understand your family's needs, goals, etc and customize their approach accordingly.
They've been in business for generations because they know the local needs of their clients and have been able to adapt to the changing times/needs. Hooy & Hooy PLC is a gem and will be here into the next generation!

Our HOA Board of Directors hired Robert and William to help us resolve a contract issue with our HOA management company. They did a FANTASTIC job and ultimately persuaded our management company to waive the erroneous fees they were planning to charge us. Robert and William read our contract carefully and then drafted a detailed and persuasive letter that was sent to the management company on our behalf. We recommend Hooy & Hooy to anyone who needs assistance with contract language disagreements.
