Cancellation is deceptive, when I called to cancel the person that answered was rude and not friendly said I need to come in person , that is FALSE what they don’t tell , you is that that you can cancel your membership on line : for those needing to know how please see the following steps below to cancel online hassle free: which I did with not needing to come in person
also their “required or recommended “ towels and mats are a waste to spend money on , all the videos in you can find your self on you tube and they run on repeat and you do for free , your pretty much just paying for the sauna usage

I am an Elite Member. I travel alot and always find the closest Hotworx to get my sweat on. After being disappointed by the City Park Location I stopped by Manvel location and it was great to see the staff there as posted, professional, friendly, clean space, all classes running, and most importantly my mobile pass worked for entry like it was suppose to. I will drive 5min further just to come to this location. Great staff and location.

Hotworx is a game-changer!! This location especially is top notch. The staff is also truly incredible, especially Lori and Missy! 🧡 Hotworx is the first gym I have stuck with and I’m going on almost 5 years. If you’re in a rush or do not have a lot of time, the 15-minute HITT classes along with the free weights are a go-to. The 45-minute isometric classes are phenomenal whether it be the Stretch, Pilates, or Yoga for a sore recovery day. The Buns, Core, ISO, and Warrior classes are my favorite for muscle isolation. Sign up, today!! You won’t regret it. ❤️🔥

I absolutely love HotWorx and was so excited when the location in Manvel opened up! I was previously a member at Pearland but having one so close to the house is wonderful. No more excuses to not go! The staff is so friendly and they have created a real community/

Okay - The workout concept itself is actually great. The sauna-based workouts can be effective and enjoyable if that’s all you’re looking for.
However, if you’re considering the Manvel, Texas location, you should know that the strength training and weightlifting options are extremely limited. The space is very small and there is very little equipment available. If lifting weights or doing strength training is part of your routine, this location will likely be frustrating. My husband requested additional equipment that would improve the space and never received any follow-up.
The biggest issue, though, is the membership and cancellation process, which appears to be franchise-wide.
First, they require you to cancel in person — in 2026. That is incredibly unreasonable when most services allow cancellation online or over the phone.
Second, if you freeze your membership, there is no notification when it’s about to be unfrozen. They simply start charging your card again.
And to make matters worse, canceling your membership can cost us more than the monthly membership itself.
So while the sauna workout concept is solid, the policies and lack of equipment at the Manvel location make the experience frustrating.
Update:
Since writing this, the franchise owner, Carmen has reached out to us personally to follow up. I am happy with the resolution and she has assured me they will take this feedback and our larger experience and use it to grow and improve their training and feedback protocols.

As a locally owned and operated HOTWORX studio serving the Manvel / West Pearland community, we care deeply about our members, and conversations like the one we had are important in helping us continue improving the experience for everyone.
For a little additional context for anyone reading, HOTWORX studios operate within a national franchise system. Membership agreements, cancellation procedures, the proprietary EPOS system, and the equipment authorized in each studio are standardized by HOTWORX Corporate so members can have a consistent experience at locations across the country. Because of that, our studio follows the policies and systems established at the corporate level.
One of the things many members love about HOTWORX is that the studio experience and training model are intentionally centered around the infrared sauna workouts themselves, which makes it a very different training environment than a traditional gym. The FX Zone and its equipment are intentionally designed as a complementary space to support and enhance those workouts while also offering opportunities for additional strength and functional training. The layout and equipment are standardized across locations nationwide.
Membership details — including freezes, reactivations, and cancellations — are outlined in the membership agreement at signup, and our team is always happy to help walk members through those details if questions come up.
