I would give HOTWORX zero stars if I could.
I have been paying for this membership for over three years while not even living in the area, and when I finally tried to cancel, I was told I would still have to pay for an additional 60 days. Charging customers for two more months after they request cancellation is completely unreasonable and feels like a way to squeeze more money out of people.
The customer service was just as disappointing as the cancellation policy. Instead of trying to help or find a reasonable solution, they simply pointed to the contract and showed no concern for customer satisfaction.
After years of paying membership fees and barely using the facility, I expected much better treatment. The entire experience has left a very negative impression, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering a membership to carefully read the cancellation terms before signing up. Based on my experience, canceling is unnecessarily difficult, expensive, and frustrating.

We’re sorry you’re frustrated with the cancellation terms of your membership, but we do want to clarify the circumstances for anyone reading this review.
The cancellation policy you are referencing is part of the membership agreement and is not a policy created by our locally owned, family-operated studio. These are corporate membership terms that we are required to uphold. While you may disagree with the policy, enforcing the terms of a contract is not a decision our local team gets to make.
We did speak with you directly and made an effort to address your concerns. Unfortunately, the subsequent communication included threats to dispute charges rather than an effort to work through the options available to you. We have remained willing to communicate with you and have provided the cancellation link so you can proceed according to the terms of your agreement.
We understand that you may be unhappy with the cancellation policy, and you are certainly entitled to your opinion of it. However, we do think it is important to distinguish between a corporate policy and the small, family-owned business that operates your local studio. Our family and our team are the ones directly impacted by reviews of this nature, despite the fact that we did not create the policy you are unhappy with.
We have simply upheld the membership agreement that was entered into and have treated your account in accordance with those terms. We would have preferred to resolve your concerns directly rather than have our locally owned business characterized negatively over a policy we do not control.

I had such a great experience speaking with Emma! I called for help setting up my access as a new member, and she was incredibly helpful, patient, and kind throughout the entire process. I’ve been coming here for a little over a year and have nothing but great workouts and experiences with not just the classes and equipment but with the cleanliness and staff. In particular Leila ! She makes the environment feel so welcoming and has been so helpful in giving fitness advice :)
