When in to office to schedule and estimate. 2 weeks was the soonest they could have someone go see the job. I scheduled it and the day of the appointment 1 hr before arrival. They canceled because the estimator got sick. Next available date was another 2 weeks before someone could get me an estimate. I would rather just told me they can’t do the job.

Dave and Amber (an apprentice) installed two toilets and a new kitchen faucet for me yesterday. Dave noticed that the plumbing beneath my kitchen faucet was not according to code (my house is 60 years old) so he also updated the kitchen sink plumbing. He gave me advice on the advantages and cost of installing a new shower faucet in the future to replace one that is 30-years-old. I never felt pressured to add more work to be done yesterday, and felt that Dave was giving me good advice based on his many years of experience. Both Dave and Amber showed up according to the schedule, were respectful, fun to talk with, and cleaned their work areas after they were done. I highly recommend Kokesh for plumbing work.

I had a pipe crack in my basement. They broke up the concrete in the wrong direction of the pipe by a good 8 feet. Then they realized the pipe was going diagonal not parallel along with my foundation. Not a huge deal at that time, people make mistakes. Agreed price was $2812 for up to 5 linear feet of pipe. Every additional foot of pipe would be $315. After completion of the job, the actual pipe length replaced was roughly 4 feet. But my bill showed that they had replaced 10 feet of pipe. If I had not been home to see the work (and gotten a picture of where the pipe actually was) or not questioned why I was being charged the extra 5 feet. I would have been charged an extra $1500. I called them and they had to come back and question it. The manager pointed to the long patch of concrete that looked more like ten feet and I had to show him the picture that I had taken to accurately show where the pipe was. Length of a pipe is a measurable thing. How does someone mess this up? I first marked it in my head as an honest mistake but upon further reflection (and asking family/friends/AI), it has signs of red flags and sketchy business. I will not being using them again. Update: I have reviewed my notes and invoices in my email. Timeline of invoices in my email: The original evaluation invoice came on aug 19 2025. The invoice for the replacement pipe (with the extra 5 feet) came on August 26 ($4309) The invoice for the “other job” came on Sept 7 which I paid. (Job was September 2nd) The revised invoice ($2734) came on September 19. So yes, you are right. Your company did complete another job for me. You guys had great quality of work. But I didn’t really know the situation til after that second job was completed. The jobs were very close together and I didn’t really know the root of the problem. The impression you had made things right at the time is accurate. Of course I was happy, you guys were about to overcharge me by $1600 and my wife was 4 months pregnant with twins. That’s a big difference in a stressful time. It took time for me to reflect and understand the situation. I’m a newer home owner, after explaining this “mix up” to people, I’ve had several folks tell me that this type of mis-measurement should not happen. Things I wish would have been in your response: I wish I would have heard “we’ve updated on invoice process to ensure there are no mix ups between projects” “We now take pictures with measurements to ensure proper documentation for our work.” “Here’s the other invoice that was a similar job that it got mixed up with.” I appreciate your strive for transparency but I would have been out $1600 if I did not take that picture, your manager pointed to the longer dig line that was not where the pipe went. Ultimately I got the right price, but it’s because I asked questions and documented the work myself. You guys did correct it quickly once it was confirmed that I was indeed right.

We strive for total transparency, which is why our manager met with you on-site to ensure the invoice was corrected to reflect only the actual pipe replaced. Ultimately, you were not charged anything above the original price you were quoted. While we regret the initial confusion, we were under the impression we had made things right at the time—especially since you chose to hire us again for additional work less than a month later. We are surprised to see this concern raised six months after the fact, but we appreciate your past business and the opportunity we had to correct the billing error immediately
Dave & Javen came out to look at a stain on our ceiling the other day. They were efficient and professional, even as the small issue quickly spiraled into a larger project.
