I had a really great haircut here previously—honestly, even better than what I usually get from my regular hairdresser. The second time I came, there was no walk-in availability, so the third time I made sure to schedule my appointment well in advance, washed my hair beforehand, and super excited. Unfortunately, this time was a completely different experience. I was assigned a hairdresser who, from what I could tell, had only done a couple of haircuts before mine. She had to ask other people twice about how to cut my hair, and midway through the haircut, I became so uncomfortable that I seriously considered leaving. Eventually, two other people came over to rescue. Between them, they may have cut my hair five cuts, and I was told that it was done. It was a horrible and extremely uncomfortable experience. What I don't understand is why I was assigned someone who clearly seemed inexperienced, especially when this is a professional salon. I had specifically scheduled my appointment ahead of time, so I expected a much better experience. Am I really that special that I needed to be the practice haircut? Unfortunately, I left very disappointed.
Hello there. Although we appreciate your feedback, we'd also like to correct you. It seems you have never been new somewhere as an employee? Or don't remember being trained, or training anyone. When we have a new stylist we let them work on our clients, knowing they are capable. Our training strategy is that our more experienced stylists check the haircut before the client pays and leaves the salon. That way we can be sure it was an acceptable haircut (even and what the client asked for.) Nowhere here did you say the haircut was horrible, you only talked about being uncomfortable that your stylist was new. We know we do good work and that we have amazing stylists. All if us were new once. We all had to learn, and we will give that back to the new and upcoming stylists. Someone did that for us, we will continue to do so. I'm sorry you couldn't feel comfortable enough to ask for someone you had seen previously when you made this haircut appointment in advance. We hope you find somewhere to go to in the future that only hires stylists that know everything. Have a great day:-)

The voicemail states if we are busy to leave a voicemail and we will get back to you. We are booked solid (which shows that we are great, unlike the review you are leaving). My hair dresser was Juliana! I got calico hair done which is very tedious but she did amazing! Near the end she seemed really excited to see the results. Very nice. Iove my hair!!! I've gotten so many compliments.

I’ve been going to Jessie‘s for several years and every single time I go is an incredible experience. I love that the Salon is run by all women.. I’ve had stellar haircuts from Lisa, Juliana, Ashley, who did an incredible job on my braids, and Jade.

My sister got her hair done by Karen. She did a vibrant color on her hair and had to touch up her bleaching. When she did that she gave my sister chemical burns. She didn’t schedule a consultation to make a plan of how to go about achieving what my sister wanted, or how much time it would take. Considering she was a new client for her, these things should’ve taken place. She over charged my sister for the appointment when she only did a peekaboo coloring and cut. I 100% do not recommend, very unprofessional.
Hi there. Thank you for the feedback. Our salon doesn't generally schedule a consultation. We do them as our appointments are scheduled. Our colors are scheduled 3/4 hours as needed. She's been there before, so Karen assumed she knew how long she was there last time. She was charged more this appointment because she got green removed to refresh the purple. That is an extra step the previous stylist didn't do. That costs more. I would never imagine getting a chemical burn and not showing the owner. Id love to see photo's. She did a bleach wash to remove the green. That wasn't on the scalp. A peekaboo is a strip. She got the entire back of the head ears down to the neck. I'm sorry you were disappointed. She is able to ask for any stylist she wants. Karen was who was available the day she came in. I apologize that they were not a good match. Grew it out for about 4 months had like 4 inches of hair around everywhere showed her two photos asked for about half an inch grabbed trimmers and started chopping, took off like 3 inches horrible didn't listen to a thing i said disappointing does not know how to cut wavy/curly medium hair

My kids and I have gone to Jessie’s since they opened. They are amazing. Great cuts, perfect color, and Jessie goes out of her way to be sure her customers are happy. But beyond high quality service, I frequently tell my husband it’s one of my favorite places to go. Everyone is kind and warm and there’s always something fun or silly going on between the stylists. It’s just a really nice energy in there and I always feel better walking out than I did walking in. I’ve sent dozens of family members and friends to Jessie’s over the years and they all report the same. Highly recommend!
