Reviewers highlight the organization's efficient spay and neuter services, noting quick appointment scheduling and lower costs compared to other providers. Staff are frequently described as caring and responsive, with praise for their patience in rehoming and adoption processes, including thorough vetting of potential homes. A recurring criticism involves strict adoption policies, specifically the refusal to place cats in households with unneutered dogs, which some applicants found rigid despite the animals' behavior.

After coming across JCCC when we were ready to begin getting our girls spayed, I couldn't be more pleased with everything. They have been so nice and super helpful when our most recent cat was spayed and kept opening her wound. They even came in on a Sunday to get her stapled back up. I'd also like to mention that our first cat who was spayed here a couple of months ago did wonderful and her wound healed so beautifully from the surgery. Thanks again for ALL you do for our community's cats! ❤️❤️🐱🐱
Janet is absolutely amazing! She took so much time to help me find resources for an abandoned cat and was truly so kind! I can't thank Johnson county community cats enough! They truly do care!
I LOVE LOVE the CARING and LOVING staff at Community Cats, that help SO much with our precious cats and cats in general!!! They REALLY do care!!!! My cats were handled SO sweetly and did WONDERFUL after their surgeries!! I just LOVE the staff SO much and WISHED I could give them a MILLION stars!!!!!!
Someone dumped a kitten (tied up in a black bag) at the edge of our property next to the road. We saw the bag, but it was dark and we never could have imagined there was a kitten inside. 😞 By the next morning it had torn its way out and was crying and cold under our back porch. We tried for two days but couldn’t get the kitten out. We live in an area with lots of coyotes and the weather was freezing and wet. It had little chance of survival. Johnson County Community Cats trapped this poor dumped baby quickly and safely. Our community is very lucky to have them.
I will recommend this place to everyone! They got me in during super busy months very fast. They will help any kitty needing help. The most professional and expedite process so far and so much cheaper to get your fur baby fixed! I hope u find these ppl first
