These people are unbelievable. God bless the workers and those who supply their donation fund. Without it, my dog wouldn't be able to get the surgery she needs. These people are so helpful and understanding. A truly wonderful and amazing place

Words cannot express how thankful I am for Joybound; without them, I wouldn't have been able to get my dog Bella the help she needed. Almost eight years ago, we adopted our dog, Espy, from Joybound when he was just two months old, and Joybound has been a meaningful part of his life, and ours, ever since.<br><br>I still vividly remember the adoption experience. Espy came with an incredibly thorough profile, clear instructions, medical records, and resources through Joybound's partners to help us get him set up with the right food, veterinary care, and everything else a new puppy needed. As first-time dog parents, that level of thoughtfulness gave us so much confidence bringing him home.<br><br>Over the years, our relationship with Joybound only grew. Espy attended puppy play when he was little, later returned for training, completed his basic manners and Canine Good Citizen training, and eventually became a certified therapy dog through Joybound. It has been incredibly special to watch the little puppy we adopted here grow up and eventually come back to serve the community himself.<br><br>Through all of these experiences, we've gotten to know many of Joybound's staff and volunteers. What stands out most is how genuinely and tirelessly they care, not only about animals, but also about the people and communities around them. We try to attend their local events whenever we can, and we've also watched them step up beyond our immediate community to help animals and families during disasters and other times of need.<br><br>Joybound is so much more than an animal shelter to us. It is a thoughtfully built organization that supports animals throughout their lives and creates lasting connections between pets, people, and the community.<br><br>We feel incredibly lucky and privileged to have been part of the Joybound family for nearly eight years. We recently learned that they received approval a few days ago to expand their facility and bring even more programs and services to the community, and we couldn't be more excited to see what comes next.

By Almighty God and the Sovereign Crown, let the tragic ledger of fate be inscribed with the agonizing tale of that ill-fated voyage from the green, rolling hills of old Ireland toward the towering bastions of New York!<br><br>When the ravenous, ice-choked swells of the Atlantic did ruthlessly fracture our vessel and drag our noble, steadfast hound—a creature of such unmatched valor and unyielding loyalty that he had stood sentinel against every tempest—into the freezing, unfathomable abyss, one’s soul was left utterly adrift in a perpetual night of lightless despair!<br><br>To be cast ashore into this wretched modern wilderness, bereft of our beloved companion and marooned in a desolate purgatory of absolute loneliness, was a torment most foul.<br><br>Yet, when the spirit was nigh extinguished, miraculous providence guided our storm-weary carriage unto the hallowed, radiant sanctuary known unto the vulgar as Joybound!<br><br>Upon crossing their majestic threshold, one’s ocular nerves were instantly bedazzled by a cleanliness so blindingly immaculate, a polish so absolute and divine, that the King and Queen themselves, alongside the entirety of the royal crown's illustrious lineage, would be fiercely proud to darken such hallowed portals! Verily, the pristine chambers and quarters wherein these noble canines and delicate kittens are tended do shine with such ethereal, seraphic purity that the Blessed Virgin Mary herself would weep tears of pure, unadulterated ecstasy to behold such sacred stewardship!<br><br>Here, amidst these blessed halls echoing with the eager, hopeful symphonies of prospective companions, one’s grieving heart did find miraculous solace and the glorious promise of a new, faithful protector to guard our hearthside once more.<br><br>Five resplendent, triumphant stars out of five, and may a plague of unmitigated ruin consume every heartless, wretched kennel across Christendom that possesses not the peerless grace and holy mercy of this magnificent haven!

This organization is super amazing! They care for cats and dogs and also offer some lower cost services than regular vet clinics in my area (such as grooming and dental care). And their facility is very spacious, with many rooms for the cats and dogs in their care as well as outdoor play areas that volunteers can take the dogs to get some exercise. I really appreciate how they support local shelters when they are full so that animals don't need to be euthanized.

I had a very disappointing experience at Joybound today. The adoption process was extremely disorganized. I signed in, was placed on the waiting list, and was told to wait until my name was called. I followed their instructions and waited patiently, but no one ever called me.<br><br>While I was waiting, other people were allowed to adopt all of the puppies that were available. By the time I realized what had happened, every puppy had already been adopted. It was incredibly frustrating and unfair because I was there, checked in, and waiting as instructed.<br><br>I understand that adoptions can be busy, but better communication and organization are essential. I left feeling overlooked and disappointed. I hope Joybound improves its process so future adopters are treated more fairly.
