Kevin is a wonderful professional that really handles everything from soup to nuts. He's got a keen eye, communicates very well, and is extraordinarily organized. This is a great combo for a designer that's tasked with taking the client's vision from start to finish. I've worked with Kevin on two projects (one professional, one personal) and plan to continue working with him for years to come. Highly recommend!

Kevin lead us from indecision and frustration on the look, feel, and function of our new townhouse to one that reflects our taste. After looking at bland, dentist waiting-room, neutral couches for 6 months, he helped us give ourselves permission to incorporate shapes, fabrics, and colors that we wouldn't have otherwise dared to consider. At the same time, he worked with pieces of furniture and wall pieces that we already owned and cherished.

Kevin never forced his aesthetic on us. He presented multiple options for each element, so we could feel comfortable with the choices, taking our budget into consideration. What his aesthetic did provide is the "eye" that puts all of these elements into a cohesive look (sorry for the clichè). He also found things that we wouldn't have even a clue where to find.

We didn't know that curves, soft edges, and wood was mid-century modern style, and Kevin knew where to find pieces that incorporated all of those in our living room/dining room and bedroom. His project management skills led to a built-in bookcase the exact height and width that works in the living room space, together with custom-width drawers and closets, the installation of a stunning chandelier over the dining room table.

We would have never considered or located for the living a curved, olive green couch, a walnut coffee table with soft, rounded edges, and just the right shade of white paint to take advantage of the light that is precious to middle-of-the-block townhouses (the walls were a muddy gray originally). Custom blinds added to the natural light. The show-stopping dining room chandelier brought to life the dining room table, china closet, and buffet that we brought with us.

Our contractor-standard closet was converted into a dressing room, with drawer and shelf space, and racks sized to our heights! The size and number of each was the result of Kevin’s suggestions. Our bedroom suite didn't have a linen closet, so that was included as well.

There are a number of awkward spaces and problems that we didn't know what to do about. For instance, the traditional lack of first-floor coat closet in Philly townhouses was addressed by a wood coat rack at the front door with hangers that fold up, and a bench and wall unit with coat hooks and storage space above at the back door. At the end of the kitchen cabinets, the tile continued to the end of the island. Kevin suggested wooden, curved floating shelves to add decorative elements and colors to an otherwise 2018s contractor kitchen.

There are many other aspects to Kevin’s design — these are just a few to convey how Kevin blended our needs with his design chops.

Working with Kevin on our second home in Philadelphia was an absolute joy from start to finish. We’ve worked with designers before, but Kevin brings a rare combination of talent, energy, and genuine collaboration that makes the entire process feel exciting rather than overwhelming.

From the first meeting, his liveliness and enthusiasm set the tone. He has an incredible eye, but what impressed us most was how thoughtfully he listened and translated our ideas into something far more beautiful than we could have imagined on our own.

Kevin has this wonderful ability to make the process feel creative and fun while still being incredibly organized and professional. Every meeting felt like a true collaboration — full of ideas, laughter, and thoughtful design decisions that elevated the entire home.

Designing a house can be stressful, but with Kevin it felt like an experience we genuinely looked forward to. The finished spaces reflect not only his talent + taste but also our style and vibe.

If you’re lucky enough to work with him, you’ll quickly understand why his clients rave about him. Kevin doesn’t just design beautiful spaces — he makes the entire journey memorable, easy, fun and so worth it. Best investment!

I had a complicated experience working with Kevin. My house turned out beautifully and I’m so happy with it every day. But we had a lot of communication struggles throughout the process. There were items on my list that we discussed and even measured for, but that never materialized. There were times I felt that my budget was not being respected and I was pushed toward a more expensive option. There were times that design elements or pieces were posted to social media before I’d even seen them. When the final furniture pieces arrived several weeks after the rest of the work, Kevin concluded our work together with an email, never returning to see the final pieces or do any finishing touches. I don’t write this to tear down a small business or anything, because I am happy with the results, but I want to be honest about my experience.

Hi Lori,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m glad to hear that you love your home and continue to enjoy the final result every day — creating spaces that clients feel proud of and happy in is always the goal of my work.

Design projects involve many moving pieces — sourcing, timelines with trades, product availability, and budget considerations — and throughout the project I worked to keep decisions clear and collaborative. All furnishings and purchases were reviewed and approved before being ordered, and I provided updates as items were completed and delivered.

Toward the end of the project, it became clear that it was best for our working relationship to conclude once the remaining pieces had arrived. After confirming delivery, I sent a final email offering continued support if anything further was needed, though I did not receive a response. As with any professional collaboration, mutual respect for time, communication, and expectations is essential for the process to run smoothly.

I also strive to ensure that every project and client relationship is the right fit from the beginning. In this case, it became clearer later in the process that our working styles were not as aligned as they ideally should be, and that’s something I take seriously as I continue refining how I guide projects and partnerships.

I’m pleased that the finished home brings you happiness and wish you many wonderful years enjoying the space.

— Kevin

The rest of this response is for those reading this review. As a small, local family business owner, I go above and beyond for every single one of my clients, and I try to treat their homes as if they were my own. Budgets are something that I take seriously, and I have gone to great lengths to maintain expectations around this. While I no longer do this, I passed on my full trade discounts to Lori, forfeiting any margin on products (practically sacriligious for designers) just so that we could keep costs to a minimum. In addition, I didn't have pieces sent through a receiving warehouse, which would have added thousands more to the budget. Instead, I took on the fees of storing pieces and delivered them myself to her home, going from Philadelphia, PA to Mount Laurel, NJ on many occasions. Again, this is all because I go above and beyond for my clients. If anyone has any questions regarding this project or our processes, we are happy to address them. We are constantly striving to improve and elevate everything that we do. Thanks!

I couldn’t have asked for a better process! I met with Kevin to spruce up my living and dining room in my new condo. He helped pick out new chairs and lighting that complemented the space and style. His communication and follow-up was excellent!

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. She saw my vision and expanded upon that and created a safe space for me that was beyond my dreams. I would see bedrooms such as mine and magazines for years and never could duplicate on my own, but Kayon did and she was fast and efficient. I highly recommend.

Hello! This isn't our work. I hope you're able to submit this review to the right company. In the meantime, I will be reporting this to have it removed as we do not wish to take credit for the work of another designer. Best wishes!

This was our first experience working with an interior designer, and we are so glad we chose Kevin! He did a full custom redesign of our bedroom and added thoughtful touch-ups to two bathrooms and our laundry room, transforming our builder-grade home into a space with so much more character. We loved his creativity, attention to detail, and how smoothly he coordinated everything. The end result was beyond expectations and we are grateful to now be living in a space that expresses our personalities and finally feels like home.

I stumbled across "K&B Interiors" on Instagram after countless failed Google searches. I sent a direct message and almost immediately afterwards was in contact with Kevin and had the pleasure to work with him and have him bring my ideas to life, shortly after that for the better part of a few months in terms of renovating my living room and one of my bedroom for my two daughters, Kevin's keen eye for interior designing and capturing the perfect essence of a space is beyond unmatched anywhere and or with anyone else.

Kevin was also a GREAT overall people's person to work with, he would do any and everything to help you achieve your visual dream, then more importantly in my opinion is that he was very communicative and responsive any time of the day or night, was very flexible with his schedule to accommodate mine even when I was out of town for a week during the project, and then his laundry list of connections he garnished during his time in his field had also helped me in other pre-existing projects extending further beyond just interior design as well, from painters, epoxying, etc.

I'd 100/10 highly recommend him to anyone in need of his expertise as well as work with again myself in the future when I purchase my forever home.

If you ever get the chance and are in need of his services, I encourage anyone to look no further than K&B Interiors.

Kevin was exceptional to work with. I began the project with a completely blank slate and no clear sense of direction. Kevin not only helped me define the type of environment I wanted to create, but also guided me through thoughtful decisions on furnishing and design. His vision is both bold and refined; even when I hesitated, his instincts proved absolutely right. The result is a home that flows beautifully, with each space complementing the next. It strikes the perfect balance of sophistication and calm—and, most importantly, it’s a place my children truly love.
