Kate is the best! We were recommended to her by a friend whose brother in law used her for their wedding and could not be happier we chose her to be our engagement and wedding photographer. We had the best time walking around CHS with her doing our engagement photos, she got such good shots of us and made us feel very comfortable even though my husband and I really don't like PDA! The day of our wedding she unfortunately hurt her ankle but she brought an even extra set of hands than her already second shooter. The photos came out absolutely spectacular, they're so bright and captured our day beautifully. We could not be happier with them and will cherish these forever. Thank you Kate!

I feel so incredibly lucky our planner connected us to my Kate!! Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she is an absolute gem of a person. Kate and our planner Erica Peper were an incredible team, keeping the wedding party and family members on track but having fun all day. We are not local to Charleston, so we did a video call with Kate before hiring her and knew right away we wanted to hire her. She is so personable and really knows her stuff- her welcome packet was incredibly helpful as we thought about our timeline for the day and the shots we wanted to get. During our engagement session and wedding, Kate made us feel so comfortable and she really captured us just being ourselves. I am pretty critical of myself in photos, and once I saw the engagement session pictures I was ready to ask Kate to be our photographer for life! She is so talented and knew exactly how to capture the style of photos we were looking for. You miss so much the day of your wedding and it moves fast, so it meant so much to be able to look back and see everything - I feel like she got every single special moment! We got our sneak peak the next morning and the rest of our photos so soon, I was absolutely thrilled!! If you want a photographer who feels like a friend, is super organized and takes beautiful photos- hire Kate!!

Kate Dye Photography was simply perfection. It’s hard to put into words how amazing she was for our special day. I originally hired Kate a little under a year out for our April 2024 wedding and from day one, she took the time to really make me feel like she cared so deeply about not only my wedding but me and my now husband as a person. She was so welcoming and personable which, for me, was a huge factor in choosing someone to photograph our wedding. She was not only the photographer of our special day but the BIGGEST hype girl for me and all of our friends/family through the entire day. I cannot say enough good things about Kate Dye Photography. Her and her partner, Crystal, were so amazing. Crystal was the ultimate hype queen when photographing our groomsmen. I will always recommend Kate Dye Photography to anyone who asks me about my preference. She was perfection in every way! HIGHLY recommend her services to everyone!

Kate was the first wedding vendor I booked when I was planning our wedding. Stumbling upon her photos while stalking Instagram is the best thing that ever happened to me while wedding planning! From the beginning she was personable, kind, and so easy to work with. When the pandemic started, we had some major life events happen and had to move our wedding. Kate was more than understanding and worked with us through every detail and change for our wedding. From the beginning she was our biggest hype girl and made us so excited about every detail of our day. She answered every question promptly, sent an incredible wedding guide with information about engagement photos, wedding timelines, and day of details. When I got to meet her for our engagement photos she was just as kind, big hearted, easy going, and enthusiastic as she was over the phone. She made us feel so at ease behind the camera and when getting those photos back I was in awe of how absolutely breathtaking they were. Before the wedding came around Kate sent us plenty of questionnaires, communicated without our vendors and with us, and made sure the day was going to go about perfectly. On the day of the wedding Kate made me feel like I was the most stunning bride of all time. She kept us laughing and smiling and felt so much more like a close friend than a wedding vendor. When I look back at my wedding photos I am transported back to the best day of my life and can relive each moment. She captured every emotion and special moment and for that I will never ever be able to thank her enough! One of the things I love most about Kate is how personable she is with everyone around her and how she makes sure your day is about everything you want, not anyone else. Even a year later my bridesmaids still bring up just how much they loved her and how fun she was at my wedding! She goes above and beyond throughout the process with sweet little gifts and notes taking the experience to the next level. Not to mention she had sneak peaks in my inbox in under 24 hours from the wedding.
