Kiddie Academy of Honolulu

We have had such a wonderful experience with Kiddie Academy! As a first-time mom, finding a daycare where I felt comfortable leaving my baby was incredibly important, and Kiddie Academy made that transition so much easier. I especially want to recognize Dajia and Kiera in the infant room, who are absolutely phenomenal! They treat the babies with so much love, patience, and genuine care. It is clear how much they love what they do, and knowing my daughter was being cared for by such loving teachers gave me so much peace of mind. They truly made the transition into daycare easier for both of us! Another thing that really sets Kiddie Academy apart is their incredible communication with parents. Between the app and the classroom cameras, I always felt connected and informed throughout the day. The frequent photo updates are such a wonderful touch, and I love being able to see what my daughter is doing. They also provide detailed updates on feedings, diaper changes, naps, and daily activities, which is especially reassuring when you have an infant. Drop-off and pick-up are also incredibly easy and convenient. The parking garage has quick parking spaces right next to the elevator, making it simple to get in and out with a baby. The center director, Keesha is amazing and always addresses any concerns promptly, handles everything so well, and always makes us feel heard and supported. Her responsiveness and professionalism have made such a positive impression on our family. You can tell that a lot of thought goes into making parents feel comfortable and involved in their child’s day. There is truly no other daycare on the island I would trust my baby with. We are so grateful for the love and care my daughter has received and especially thankful for the wonderful teachers and staff who have been part of her early months. I would absolutely recommend Kiddie Academy to families looking for a loving, attentive, communicative, and convenient childcare environment!

We’ve been sending our keiki here since they were 10 weeks old and we love it here. These people are absolutely amazing. The staff and teachers truly care about each individual keiki and it’s such a loving and warm environment to be in. The teachers are thorough and helpful, not only for the kids but for the parents as well. They are so kind and reassuring towards the parents. They helped and aided us with stopping the pacifier habits, switching to solids, using utensils, communication (sign language and verbal), dressing themselves, and potty training. Kiddie Academy has been there all the way. They also have video feeds in each room so you can check in and see what your keiki is up to during the day. But…if they aren’t in their classrooms, it’s because they are doing other fun and educational activities else where. The teachers are always planning fun activities for the kids. They have a play nook, which is an huge open space filled with a bunch of different play sets and toys for more physical activity. They also provide outdoor activities and excursions for the kids, such as going to the library, the farmers market, the post office, and more. They also teach them skills like cleaning up, wiping things, etc (this came as a pleasant surprise when our keiki started cleaning our house on their own). We have seen our keiki thrive and grow so much here. It’s amazing to hear all the things they learned and saw while spending their day at Kiddie Academy. One day they came home and just started counting in Spanish! Kiddie Academy also provides breakfast, lunch and snacks but also give you the option to bring your own food. The teachers log what the kids ate on the Tadpoles app, and I’ll tell you, these kids eat really good food! Most of time, their lunch sounds better than mines. The facility is very clean and secured. There are parking stalls for drop off and pick up and parking has never been an issue for us. The staff and administration are extremely helpful and responsive. It is very easy to communicate with them and they are readily available. If you are looking for a day care for your keiki, I would 100% recommend this place. Our daughter started at KA at 10 weeks old, very shortly after KA first opened, and (a blink later!) is now soon to graduate and head to preschool. KA has been spectacular through and through. The school is loving, nurturing, supportive, clean and full of fun activities. My daughter has thrived, with so many great friends and teachers, and so many fun things each day. She loves the play nook, book corner and circle time. Meals are all coordinated from a neighboring restaurant, so the kids eat well and with a healthy variety. They have a “book library” you can borrow from. AND They have parent-accessible cameras so you can check in on your kiddo through the day! We feel so lucky to have been a part of the KA ‘Ohana and are so thankful. When I was dropping off my baby so I could head to work, I always knew that she would be loved, well fed, clean and cared for. After over 2.5yrs, they have done and been so much more. In addition to the amazing teachers, the management at KA are incredible. They are hands-on, friendly and accommodating, and truly care about the daycare and the children. When a child is hurt or sick or having a tough day, they will often be found on the laps of Ronna (the owner) or Keesha (the manager), so they can get some extra attention to help ease whatever the issue. We cannot recommend KA enough for your little one! Ps. Tell Keesha I say hi!!

We have had the best experience at Kiddie Academy. The facility is very clean, the operation is organized and well run thanks to Ronna and Keesha, the communication is great, the meals provided are very well planned/nutritious, and of course, the teachers are amazing. Our daughter had Ms. Kimmie, Ms. Anna, and Ms. Liz (along with a few others) and we always felt confident that she was being very well looked after under their care. The staff is so cheerful, kind, anticipates parents’ needs, and they’re also very flexible and helpful :) KA also has video cameras, so if you’re missing your little one and feel like checking in to see what they’re up to, you can do so (such a huge perk). Our daughter has grown and developed so much during her time at KA!! We highly recommend KA to anyone looking for child care in downtown honolulu (such a convenient location with easy/quick parking situation for pick up and drop off!)

New facility which appears clean and modern. Denise and Dagny are AWESOME teachers and our son loved them in the toddler class. Unfortunately our son went through 6 teachers in just 5 months and didn’t get to have them the whole time. The owners are physically there each day which you can tell makes a big difference compared to other daycares. Kiddie Academy is definitely one of the most clean, safe, and responsive daycares you’ll find on island.

My son has been at Kiddie Academy since he was four and a half months old. We have had nothing but positive experiences in the past eight months. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. My son loves his teachers and is learning new skills all the time. We feel lucky to have found Kiddie Academy.

My child has been attending Kiddie Academy since they first opened doors in September 2023. The great thing about this Academy is that they are conveniently located in Downtown, and within walking distance of my home and workplace. One thing that makes them unique is that parents are given access to the center’s cameras so you can see your child. Since attending the academy, I’ve seen my son grow and become more independent. He’s shown new communication skills and gained social skills. The center is spacious and clean, and the teachers are all very kind and you can see how much they care about your child. The director, Ronna, is very responsive and prompt with your inquiries. She’s always addressed any concerns or questions I had.

I love this place. When it comes to daycare for our first-born child, my wife and I searched for a long time to find a place that we both felt was perfect for our child. Here are the reasons why we chose kiddie academy over all the other places we interviewed with and got accepted too. I also put them in our priority in importance, first being the most important. 1. Trust in care. Ronna the director is top notch. She truly loves her business and it shows. If you get a chance to interview with her you should. That alone would probably win you over. She knows the kids and treats them like her own grandkids. When I drop off my son, although shes always moving or doing something, she always tries to make time to give me a little personal chat. And what can I say about Ms. Aiden, We just love her. 2. Admin and enrollment. After sending an email, I got a personal response in 1 hour. Enrollment was a breeze and very military friendly. This place is very new, but the staff figured out how to make it work efficiently. The admin staff, which I believe is the family members, is a well oiled machine. 3. Convenience (pick-up and drop off). The academy is located in town, and I was apprehensive at first, because I am coming from Pearl Harbor. But it takes us about a total of 30 mins (include travel and drop off and pick up). I use the exit 21 on pali, veer left of bishop, and turn right into the garage on Adams. The academy has a deal with the staff that lets you get front end parking in the guest spot and provide you validation when you leave. No need to walk the kid in the rain or wait for parking outside. I never had a problem with picking up the kid early without notice and the staff is very accommodating. 4. Accommodations. The academy is inside with AC and has a huge play room with new toys and furniture. All the toys appear to be Montessori-like toys and the bicycles are all brand new kid friendly toys. I didn’t see any items that were sharp or hazardous or anything else I wouldn’t purchase on my own. Plus, they offer school meals, however, they will serve your meals with the other kids if you provide your own meals, so your kid doesn’t feel left out. And 5, Academics. We enrolled our child when he was 1 1/2. We’ve been here for almost six months and he’s grown so much it makes me a little sad. He acts like a little person, appears to be more alert, and likes going to school. He’s still a little young, but he tries to talk and understands how to interact with kids. That what I really wanted from the academy. I am leaving an unsolicited review about the academy because I like this place. It took me and the wife a long time to find a daycare like this and I wanted to share my positive experiences. If you are interested in daycare, you won’t be disappointed with at least giving a phone call or visiting the kiddie academy website. I also forgot… security. This place is located inside an office building with three lines of security, which includes security guards to monitor the building and locked door access. Also, you get 100% full access to their cameras (which a lot of daycare does not let you have). My kids is safe here.
