My son is struggling because he writes with his left, but does everything else with his Wright so neither hand is getting total dedication. His teacher and administrator suggested that we look into occupational therapy. This place says he needs a referral from a doctor. First off how’s the doctor gonna know about his writing problem? Secondly his doctor is an hour away and the only appointment I can get him to is in the one hour after school. At 6:50 a gallon and just taking a five-year-old to the doctor an hour away alone is ridiculous. You should not be getting referrals from pediatricians for writing issues. The teacher should be Good enough. I’m not gonna jump through hoops to pay you for your services. This is exactly why people give up on therapy and help because you make it too damn difficult to make it happen. Tell me I have to email the registration department, etc. etc. Why because they’re too lazy to pick up the phone and talk to me? Now I gotta go search for emails and write everything out and print out paperwork etc. etc. I’m tired of doing the office workers work, I should be able to give you my insurance card. You see my son and we go about our day. You people are all out of control, expecting the patients and the parents of the patients to do all the work while you sit there next to a phone and do nothing to help. Absolutely outrageous.

Kids in Motion has played such a pivotal role in my child’s development when it comes to his gross motor skills. His delays were far more than I realized and over the course of the last two years, he has caught up to his age group. Every therapist that we worked with showed kindness and love while pushing my son to hit his goals. He loved going to PT and it felt like we were family being there. 10/10 would recommend.
Thank you for your feedback, Emily! Thank you for letting us be part of your village!
My daughter has been at Kids in Motion for one or more therapies since 2021. The waitlist is long but once you are in all of the therapists are wonderful. My daughter has seen Ms. Abby for speech therapy for two years now. My daughter has made so much progress - she went from sounds to full sentences. We love Abby and we are so grateful to have her. My daughter also sees Ms. Mariel for OT. We were recently placed on her schedule and I’m so glad. She is always willing to listen and make suggestions. I really love having multiple services in the same place because the team does talk and take a collaborative approach.
The entire team at Kids In Motion is fantastic! They are there for the whole family. They are really dedicated to helping the kiddos and do so with genuine care. From Chloe and Leslie at the front desk, who welcome you with a smile, great music, and genuine dedication to make the schedule work for you, to the Speech Therapy team, especially Ms. Annie and Ms. Emma, who get to know the child’s interests and use them to help them find their voice, their ability to speak up for themselves, and their confidence. And the OT team, like Ms. Jenni, Ms. Salma and Ms. Muriel, who get so creative to make it fun for the kiddos to thrive and to handle their activities of daily living. Also, the PT team, like Ms. Madeline and Ms. Rachel who help the kiddos find their strength, and ability to overcome physical obstacles. They have really made a difference in my child’s life, while going out of their way to work with our family’s ever-changing schedule. This is truly a great place to help your kiddos succeed, thrive, and have fun while learning to do so.
My child’s been going here for some time and let me tell you no regrets here they’re very patient and their staff behind the desk is always understanding and tries to help Accommodate as much as Possible My Son participate in speech and occupational therapy He sees several Therapist because he does to speech and to Occupational therapy sessions a week Salma Sudarmadji ,Mariel Laguitan are ones that are highly recommended
My son has been seeing Michelle Yoo for Occupational Therapy for about 1.5 years. The progress he’s made under her care has been nothing short of amazing. She’s patient and fun yet firm which is what my son really needed in an OT in order to complete the necessary tasks and make the immense improvements he has. He truly enjoys his sessions with her and we are so grateful he has such a supportive and effective OT.
My son has been working with Abby for speech therapy, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress he’s made. He’s now speaking in full sentences and expressing himself so much more confidently! Abby is patient, kind, and truly dedicated to helping her students grow. She takes her time with him and makes every session engaging and fun. I’m so grateful for the love and care she puts into her work — she’s made such a difference in my son’s life!
Alison has been such a blessing in our lives. When my son first started, he had trouble expressing himself and often felt shy and unsure. Because of Alison’s incredible patience, warmth, and expertise, he has blossomed into a confident, happy little boy who loves to talk and share his thoughts.

She has a rare gift, she connects with children in such a gentle, encouraging way that they don’t just learn, they truly grow. Watching my son find his voice has been one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever witnessed, and it’s all thanks to her.

We are forever grateful for Alison’s kindness, dedication, and the love she pours into her work. She changed our son’s life, and our hearts are so full of gratitude!
We have been with Kids in Motion for several years, and while there have been many positives, there are also areas that need improvement. The turnover rate for therapists is very high, which suggests possible issues with management, communication, or workplace culture. I do not blame the therapists for leaving—no one wants to work in a hostile or unsupportive environment—but it does create a major setback in care for families when we constantly have to start over with new therapists. As someone who works in the medical field, I have witnessed this on many occasions. As my unit has gone through 7 directors, and yet to see someone who can really fill the shoes.

That said, we are incredibly grateful for our current team. Aiya in Speech Therapy, Naomi and sometimes Madelyn in Physical Therapy, and especially Jenni B our Occupational Therapist have been outstanding. Jenni B is truly a gem and one of the greatest assets this company has. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience with Teleton, a well-known organization in Latin America that supports children with disabilities. Teleton’s approach emphasizes respect, equality, and the highest quality of care with innovative therapeutic equipment—and Jenni reflects those values in her work every day.

If Jenni B were ever to leave Kids in Motion, we would have to follow her, as it is rare to find a therapist who challenges my son appropriately and does not shy away from working with him out of fear of hurting him. We have also seen other excellent therapists leave over the years, like Fabiola PT, Jessica ST, which has been difficult for our family.

We truly hope Kids in Motion will address its management and staff retention issues, because families deserve consistency in care and therapists deserve a supportive work environment. Though staff keep a tight lip, parents do notice.
