Kumon Math and Reading Center of Fresno - Bullard

I came to Kumon-Bullard location because I was concerned about my child’s reading. Her teacher mentioned that she was struggling with reading and her quarterly reading assessments at her school was below average. After starting, I noticed improvements with her assessments with the most recent one being her best. She reached her goals. Her fluency and expressions have improved tremendously. The Director wants to see all kids succeed and she is very honest with her recommendations. After her first 3 months in reading, I wanted to change to math. The Director recommended for my child to do reading for a little longer. She was right. My child improved even more and the skills learned is lasting. I am now going to start her in math at Kumon. I am very happy with this location and the staff.

We love Kumon. Our children have gained a clear edge in math and reading, thanks to the overlapping practices involved at progressive levels. The owner, Arshdeep, really cares about her students. I have seen her diligent efforts to hire competent staff to support the students.

I had a terrible experience at this Kumon location and want to warn other parents. The owner, who is not a psychologist or specialist, made an inappropriate and unprofessional comment about my 4-year-old daughter. She mistakenly thought my child was 5 and then proceeded to say that "something is wrong" with her just because she was struggling to read—at four years old! Insinuating that a child had a learning disability without any qualifications or proper assessment is completely unacceptable. I immediately withdrew my daughter, and I am so glad I did. No child should be subjected to this kind of treatment, especially in a learning environment that is supposed to be supportive. If you're considering Kumon, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. This place is not worth it.

We loved our experience with Kumon! Our twin boys attended Kumon twice a week for their entire year of 1st grade. We felt like they were behind at the start of the year and the instructors did an excellent job getting them caught back up and we saw great improvement over the year. Thank you Kumon!
