Huge thanks to Sam at Lake's Auto Repair. He's the kind of mechanic you hope to find, honest, straightforward and genuinely helpful. We showed up with no appointment or advance notice (just a recommendation from a local) and he stopped what he was doing to help us. His honesty about what our car needed (and didn't need) meant a lot. Truly a great guy and a great shop.
Recently got my front brakes done at Lakes, and was so happy with the process and the great price, I came back to get my rears done a few weeks later. Once again, amazing customer service from Gary and the whole team at Lakes! Will definitely be coming back for regular maintenance and anything else that comes my way!!

I recently purchased new tires and needed them mounted and balanced. Many shops in Rutland refuse to mount tires that aren’t purchased from them, but Lakes auto had absolutely no issues. They were able to help me out during the busiest season and on time with the delivery of my new tires. They did a good job and got it done fast. They did use a bit too much tire lubricant but that’s nothing a car wash can’t fix. The owner seems like a really honest, hardworking guy. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

These guys saved our bacon on a recent trip to killington. Diagnosed a problem and provided a fix almost immediately and got us back on the slopes. Wish I lived nearby!
