Las Vegas Exotic Fish

The staff here is absolutely amazing and super helpful!

I used to have a 5 star review for LVEF, So it's unfortunate that I got to change this.

As a disclaimer, I'm not new to the aquarium hobby nor am I new to LVEF, I've been doing aquariums for years.

Further, LVEF DID work with me to make my issue right-kind of. So I'll give credit to where it's due...

Long story short I had a well-established 75 gallon heavily planted tank, I bought three Amazon puffers for $120 from LVEF, although my water parameters were totally fine, very shortly and had an unusual marking.. they replaced him, and then the replacement died also.. rather than get another puffer, they gave me 10 tetras, which I put in an iso pod in my main tank...

Shortly thereafter, ALL my fish got ich. All the tetras died, the other puffers died, and I had to buy a giant bottle of ich-x.

Hopefully my plants and other fish don't die.

So 5 stars for them replacing the fish multiple times, that was super solid.

My beef is just that I threw 120$ down the drain, and I'm not gonna go back and ask for more fish , and since they've basically given me $240 in fish, I'm not gonna ask for my money back and hurt their wallet either, it just sucks cuz I lost, LVEF lost, and the fish lost...
Hence the 3 stars.

It's part of the game, but if you get fish from them, definitely quarantine for some weeks ... Which honestly I should have done also... And, to be fair
you should do that with any fish from any store

I hate coming here, it's very bad for my wallet. All the staff are super nice and they have a huge variety of everything at great prices. We get pretty much everything we need for our tanks from here.

I recently moved to LV and brought all of my 10 tanks with me, almost 1000 gallons worth of tanks. The move wouldn’t have been possible without these guys, best prices and most friendly staff in the city by far. A true local business. Also support their non profit expansion efforts!!

Huge selection, the team and the service is what brings me back! They are making even more renovations to support more nano and freshwater fish. I came here for Apistos and African cichlids. They also have some really obscure and harder to find nano fish like loaches and corys

Will keep coming back for more to support!

Thanks!

Outstanding customer service and honest advice. Got a great deal on shrimp and learned a lot about aquarium plants. Very welcoming and knowledgeable—5 stars!

I found this place and have been coming back for their koi and goldfish. All my koi and goldfish are thriving in my pond and their friendly staff make it a great experience everytime I'm there. The prices also cannot be beat. They have a great selection of freshwatwer and saltwater fish and friends I have recommended this place to have also had positive experiences. This is my favorite LFS in Vegas.

Hands down... Thee best shopping experience that I've had in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area in the last 4yrs of living here!!!! (It's very rare for me to experience feeling welcomed into businesses and I get it... Broad shoulders, bald head, stoic expression, and dark brown skin) Friendly... Knowledgeable... Approachable... Helpful... They didn't just try to sell me on everything!!!! They're genuinely interested in what I was visualizing!!!! Absolutely love this place!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The manager it was really nice and helpful to me to find different things that I'm looking for that a lot of people don't try to do but he was awesome

Very helpful picking out a vampire shrimp for my son. They even gave him a step ladder so he could look at the fish that was too high for him. Very sweet staff. Highly recommend.
