I highly recommend the Law Office of Brett Levy! Brett represented me in court today for a speeding ticket and got it dismissed at the very first hearing. He did an excellent job defending me and presenting my case to the judge. I truly appreciate his professionalism, preparation, and hard work. Didn’t contact us directly for weeks after being retained to fight a speeding ticket, all specific questions we had before the hearing were brushed aside by his legal clerk instead of being answered by him or having the question answered at all. (What should I expect in the courtroom/magistrate office, what defense strategy was he planning on using, what he even intended for me to plea, etc.) Fast forward to the day of my hearing, at charlestown courthouse, and we arrive 30 minutes prior to the time he told us to be there, expecting for him to be waiting to meet us and finally brief me on the legal strategy or what we were even doing, yet he wasn’t there, wasn’t nearby, and made sloppy excuses until showing up almost AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE to when my hearing was formally scheduled for. By this point we had already been called three times by an increasingly impatient clerk magistrate and state police officer, each time telling us it was our case’s turn to be heard and wondering where our attorney was. When he did finally show up in his Maserati, he waltzed in, shook my hand, and immediately grabbed the prosecutor and state trooper to proceed into the hearing room without pulling me aside or speaking a single word to me regarding our legal strategy or course of action. This lack of coordination proved to be a fatal mistake when the prosecutor asked me how I wanted to explain my speed, and I answered that I had thought i was going a reasonable speed, only to be cut off mid sentence by Attorney Levy because he had decided that our strategy was going to hinge on pleading my status as a hardworking college student. This obviously was noticed immediately by the trooper and clerk magistrate, who then of course found me guilty. There were several glaring issues with my copy of the ticket, which could have been argued. Of note, I do have a history of several speeding civil speeding tickets, but I truly believe that with better representation that actually showed up on time, communicated with their client, and formulated a multilayered strategy, I could have won. It is also again worth noting my family paid 1300 dollars for what ended up being an extremely unprofessional lawyer who fell miles short of what any of these 5 star reviews are saying. I am posting this not because I lost however, but because of how badly he failed to be my lawyer, even when paid my whole months rent for a hour of his time. Spend your money elsewhere, he doesn’t give a damn.
That is an interesting position that you're taking. Regardless of what car I drive, I don't have anything on my driving record. And unfortunately that is the fatal flaw for you. You can blame other people or you can try to fix things. You are literally the only person I have lost a ticket for in the last year. And it is still winnable. So I'm going to wish you the best of luck even though I am not going to be helping you with the next hearing.
