Reviewers generally praise the tax preparation services for being fast, efficient, and highly informative, noting that staff members explain tax law changes and answer questions thoroughly. The office is frequently described as friendly and welcoming, with customers appreciating the professional demeanor and accurate handling of returns. However, recurring criticisms involve poor communication, such as missed callback promises, and significant issues with pricing transparency and file management errors, including lost paperwork or misfiled amendments.

Liberty Tax on Lancaster in Salem is EXCEPTIONAL! I was really scared to file my taxes as I was worried I was going to owe $40k+. After working with Christina and Richard, I didn’t even come close to this number. They are so friendly and such nice people to work with. I will certainly be using them for my taxes going forward. Thanks Christina and Richard for the amazing and affordable service! Edit** Initially had a 5 star review however when I came time for payment, I was charged an extra $50 compared to my previous taxes. As a customer, even though it’s only $50 bucks, it would have meant a lot to me giving me the same price. I am not as thrilled after that interaction and they wouldn’t budge. Definitely not the cheapest place as I was quoted less at other places but they do a good job.
