Sadly, Lighthouse Insurance has really gone downhill in my experience. I have been an home, auto and business customer for over 25 years and have referred family and friends to Lighthouse over that time. I called several times a few months to question policy charges and no one returned my calls resulting in me paying late as they said they would call back before the premium was due. I paid it online the night before it was due but it must have not gone through until the next day so I had to pay an extra charge. After that I started looking at my insurance costs and called around to compare. I quickly found I was paying double for my auto insurance compared to other companies. I asked Lighthouse to provide quotes for the companies they carry. Again, no return call after I called several times to ask about the quotes. I finally received their quotes after my repeated calls. They were only able to reduce the cost by about $400 annually for car insurance. I was able to save over $1000 annually when I switched to another company! In the past, Lighthouse would compare rates for me with the companies they carried and go over possible savings with me. As I was making comparisons I called twice and left messages asking about my coverage to make sure I was getting the same coverage. Again no return call. I can no longer recommend Lighthouse Insurance and recommend anyone that has insurance with them compare your rates as I was overpaying double what I should have been.
