I used Lock Monkey's to change out/rekey 3 doors (Balcony, Balcony Storage, Front Door) and was very happy with the outcome. It was pricey but I was told the cost up front. George was professional, comprehensive, quick and I appreciated (and took) the other safety suggestions he made. I'd do business with them again.

I used Lock Monkeys several years ago and it was reasonable and great service. However this time was different. I didn't ask for pricing upfront which is my fault but it was so reasonable before so i thought it wasn't needed. The tech rekeyed 3 locks in about 30 minutes. The cost was $290 and it was a scheduled appointment. I have contacted the office and haven't been able to get a breakdown on if the charges are correct or a receipt. I don't recommend. UPDATE THEY CORRECTED THIS AND WERE GREAT ABOUT IT!
Well I'm sorry for the oversight. But I have no text or email from you about this. If you were over charged then it could have been a simple mistake like hitting the wrong number of locks. Please call us 803-636-6337 or 803-367-1160 and we will be glad to give a partial refund if that's the case. However, please take into consideration anytime you have a question, On any bill, please say something before paying said bill. God bless and have a blessed day. My morning started off terrible when I locked my keys in my car at 6:30am. I proceeded on to work and ask people could they u lock my car, no one has time. I called around one place had a nasty attitude, the other one was $120 and I reached out to Lock Monkey. We talked and I was telling him how my day was going. I said I started to go home. He was so friendly. Fast forward he said he need to get another piece out the car I said it’s $85 right? He said whatever she told you. I proceeded to pay him and he said HAVE A GOOD REST OF YOUR DAY. He really made my day🥰 so if you ever lock your keys call lock monkey cause you will never know if you have to pay or not. I was charged $175.00 to program my key for a 2020 Acura. In comparison the Acura dealership only charges 90.00. I like to support small biz but this seems way out of line.
The dealer you have to go to a locksmith coming to you is convenient and naturally cost more. Our equipment charges a token fee that can range in price. I had to access online data to program your key fob for it to function correctly. Sorry you feel I over charged you. If you came to me it would have Been cheaper. The cost was 120 to program and 55 for token access.
