I have done PT for ankles and shoulders here. They specialize in people wanting to get back to their athletic selves or recovering from injury more so than someone who is really in terrible shape. I appreciated that they wanted to work with me not just on “can you wash your hair” but can I play overhead sports again.
Erwina helped get my shoulder in shape after rotator cuff and labrum surgery in no time!
Amazingly well qualified team. Bree understood my challenges and catered a very effective therapy kindly and empathetically. Can’t recommend enough!
Emily worked with me for ~1 year after an achilles surgery and got me back into running, tennis, and volleyball. She was always very patient and listened to every detail throughout my recovery journey. She tailors workouts to help with any pain I’m feeling, while working me towards my long term recovery goals, often explaining the science and reasoning behind her approach. Emily is an amazing, knowledgable PT and I’d highly recommend her.
Erwina truly cares about her patients and is incredibly invested in helping them not only recover from an injury, but also reach their own personal goals. My daughter dislocated her knee and was initially told by her orthopedic surgeon that she would be out of basketball for four months. She began seeing Erwina twice a week and was also very consistent about doing the exercises Erwina gave her at home—you definitely have to be willing to put in the work too! After just two months, my daughter exceeded her doctor’s expectations and was cleared to return to the court. Even after she was cleared, we continued working with Erwina for the full four months because we wanted to make sure my daughter returned safely and reduced the risk of another injury. We ended up staying even longer because Erwina helped her work toward additional personal goals, including improving her jumping, strength, and overall performance on the basketball court. What I appreciate most about Erwina is that she doesn’t just focus on getting a patient “back to normal.” She listens to what is important to them and helps them become stronger and more confident than they were before the injury. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for my daughter and would highly recommend her!
I went in to rehab an ankle sprain and was seen by Erwina. She collaborated closely with me to figure out limitations to range of motion/strength limits and subsequently created a targeted recovery plan to get me back to my hobbies. She pushed me when needed and pulled back when required. Erwina ensures to hear you out in order to make sure your concerns are met. I can't stress this enough, she's an absolute gem to work with! She will get you back on your feet and she strives to make you stronger than you were prior to injury. In general, the staff at the Los Gatos facility are great. Leo was always easy to talk to and welcoming at the door. Emily was always fun to riff with. The space was clean and well maintained with plenty of equipment to use. The amount of tools at their disposal enabled a solid recovery path.
I had a great experience with Jonathan! I came to LGOST after an ankle surgery and Jonathan was extremely thorough in his treatment/at home exercises every step of the way. His workouts were challenging at times (in a good way), but I left every appointment having noticeably greater mobility and strength. He is very knowledgeable and was attentive to my needs, I looked forward to my appointments! The rest of the staff are also all really friendly and nice. I highly recommend Jonathan and LGOST :)
Our teen son has come here to recover from several injuries and they are the best! They aren’t the cheapest but they’ve been well worth it. They take the time to communicate with the surgeon and make a plan to get you back in top form. Extra shoutout to Chris Wilkins who has really motivated our son to get and stay strong in a safe and methodical manner.
I cannot recommend this place enough! I walked in the door five months ago with a broken humerus (ski accident). From Day One the expertise, professionalism and care from my physical therapist Breanne was very evident. She was responsive to my questions and needs, thoughtful about my care, and I felt reassured and recovering at every moment! She helped me prepare for my early June backpacking trip and helped me develop exercises to make that a success, as well as of course helping me regain my normal shoulder functions. This place came recommended to me highly by a practitioner I trust, and still they exceeded my expectations.
