Madisyn, we’re disappointed to read this review because it leaves out several important parts of what occurred and the efforts our team made to help. We absolutely recognize that your son’s initial experience was difficult, which is why a member of our leadership team spoke with you personally and created a plan to help him feel more comfortable in the water. As part of that plan, we scheduled a private lesson with one of our aquatic leaders at no additional cost. Unfortunately, that lesson was not attended, so we never had the opportunity to put that plan into action. We also want to address the suggestion that our staff was unprepared. Every instructor completes required training and certifications before teaching children and works under the guidance of experienced leaders with many years in aquatic instruction and leading a team. We take water safety, instructor development, and the experience of every child in our school very seriously. There is also an important factual discrepancy regarding billing. The review states that you paid for three months of swim lessons. Our records show that, after the reversal of your final charge, you paid for approximately 1.5 months—not three. That final charge was reversed by our General Manager before this review was posted. Since the review was posted, ownership has reached out twice in an effort to speak with you personally and address any remaining concerns, but we have not received a response. We understand that not every experience will be perfect, but we believe our team should be given the opportunity to address concerns when they arise. In this case, we acknowledged your concerns, offered a complimentary private lesson, reversed your final charge, and continued trying to reach you afterward. We stand behind the efforts our team made to support your family.

Thank you for spending the past four summers with Aqua-Tots. We appreciate the opportunity we've had to work with your son and are disappointed to hear that you left feeling this way. Because prospective families rely on reviews when choosing a swim school, we would like to clarify a few points. Our lessons are intentionally structured as approximately 27-28 minutes of in-water instruction, followed by time for coaches to connect directly with parents, discuss progress, and provide feedback. This is the standard class structure throughout Aqua-Tots and is an important part of keeping parents involved in their child's swim journey. Regarding make-up lessons, families have 60 days to reschedule a missed lesson, providing a significant window of flexibility to find another class that works for their schedule. We also want to address the concern about progression. Swimming is a progressive skill that builds through consistency and repetition. When lessons are limited to a portion of the year with extended breaks in between, some time may naturally be spent rebuilding skills and confidence from the previous season. Every child's progression is different, and our goal is always to develop safe, confident, proficient swimmers—not simply introduce children to the water. I personally attempted to reach out after learning of your concerns because I genuinely wanted to better understand your experience and discuss how we could have better supported your family. Unfortunately, I did not hear back. We remain proud of our curriculum, our coaches, and the thousands of children we have had the privilege of helping become safer and stronger swimmers.

Ronak, we have a very clear makeup lesson policy in which every family signs/acknowledges. We find it to be incredibly convenient, as do most of our customers! If you need to miss a lesson for any reason, no problem, we will offer you a makeup lesson as long as you cancel/notify us prior to the missed class. You have 60 days to use that missed lesson at your convenience. These can be easily scheduled on the App, by calling the school or speaking with a front desk team member.
