Picking a photographer was by far the hardest vendor decision I had to make for my wedding, and I truly cannot express how happy we are that we chose Maddy. From the moment we first met her, she had the most calming and comforting presence. We were already in love with her portfolio and knew we loved her photography style, but it was her personality and the way she made us feel that ultimately sold us.
I don't think anyone tells you before your wedding just how much time you actually spend with your photographer. Your planner is busy working behind the scenes, but your photographer is right there with you through so much of the day. They are with you while you're getting ready, helping get you from point A to point B, keeping you on schedule, making sure you feel comfortable and seen, and somehow remaining completely calm when things get stressful—whether that's family photos, unexpected weather, or the million little things that inevitably happen on a wedding day.
Maddy was truly everything we could have asked for and more. She has such a natural ability to make everyone feel comfortable and special. I'm pretty sure my sister and Maddy became best friends by the end of the weekend, and my sister has not stopped talking about how much she loves her either 😂. That honestly says everything.
Besides my husband, lol, I genuinely can't imagine having anyone else by my side for the entire wedding day. Maddy felt like a friend who just happened to be incredibly talented at taking photos. She kept us calm, made us laugh, and somehow captured every important moment without ever making the day feel like one giant photo shoot.
And the photos themselves... absolutely incredible. I can't stop looking through our gallery and album and reliving the day. She captured the perfect balance of candid, emotional moments and beautiful, timeless portraits. Every time I look at our photos, I notice something new, and I am so grateful that we have these memories captured so perfectly.
Maddy gave us photos that we will treasure for the rest of our lives, but she also made the experience of taking those photos one of the best parts of our wedding day. We truly could not recommend her more.
Stop looking and just book Maddy. You will be SO happy you did!
Madeline was amazing to work with! My fiancé and I had never done a photoshoot like this and she made us feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. She got the edited photos back in a very timely manner and they are stunning! We love them, can’t wait to share them, and overall highly recommend working with Madeline!
We loved working with Maddy for our engagement and wedding photos and can't recommend her enough! She is able to capture special moments in a natural way that did not feel like we were having our photos taken or we were being posed. Her digital and film shots are beautiful and I truly could not pick a favorite shot if I had to. Her calm, unflappable demeanor kept us at ease and we look forward to working with her for more life events in the future!
Maddy was the best photographer EVER. Not only are her photos sooo incredible, she was so efficient and made the wedding so special. My entire family loved her and felt so comfortable taking photos with her which is not usual. I am so happy we found her and she was able to be at our wedding. Do not hesitate to book with her!!
Booking wedding photos with Maddy was one of the best decisions we've ever made.
Although, I will say, boiling it down to all that corporate-sounding phraseology feels like a dramatic undersell of how incredible our experience was. Maddy is — yes — extremely talented, and you will — of course — want to hire her based solely off seeing her work because it's so beautiful and evocative, but the most impressive thing about working with Maddy was her warmth, care and love for us as a couple. She went from a vendor we wanted to hire to someone we couldn't have imagined our wedding day without. Planning for a wedding can be overwhelming (especially if you've never done it before!), but she communicated clearly about everything she needed from us and was honest with us about what we should expect and plan for as the couple. She is great at planning and ensuring everything she's involved with goes smoothly the day of, and she is an expert at managing that one relative who you just know is going to try to become Annie Leibovitz the day of the wedding.
In short, we loved Maddy's work as a photographer, but we love her even more as a person. Wedding photos can be expensive (hell, every part of a wedding can be!), so make sure you invest in someone you know will be a great ally, a great photographer, and above all, a great person.
Plus, I know you can't see me, because this is a text review on the internet, but she even made me look hot. That's worth more than a thousand words.
Maddy is an INCREDIBLE photographer. She photographed our wedding in June. She was an absolute joy to work with throughout the planning process, and really helped make sure our day went smoothly. She was consistently communicative and helpful. Even though we had never done a wedding before, it was incredibly helpful to have her, a wedding veteran and true professional, by our side. We also felt like she captured our day in a way that felt really authentic- when we look at the photos they really evoke a sense of feeling and place and memory, more than any other professional photos we have had done before. We cannot recommend her enough!!
Not personally a customer but would be if I could!!! Madeline photographed my sister and brother in law’s wedding in June and her photos came out AMAZING. Not only is her work phenomenal, but she’s also the SWEETEST person. We talked with her for a good 20-30 minutes and could not get enough. If we hadn’t already booked a wedding photographer and were local to colorado we would have booked her for our wedding. Will be planning a trip to colorado in the future as an excuse to book her for something!!!
Maddy photographed my wedding last weekend. I have still only seen sneak peaks and I KNOW she slayed the rest. (The sneak peeks are a 10/10). Maddy did an amazing job keeping everyone on track for photos and honestly just keeping my whole night on track. She was more than just a photographer to me she was such a support. She helped me with my bustle and so much more. Do not walk, run to booking her for your wedding. I can't wait to see the rest of the photos. Thank you Maddy♡♡
Maddy is such a talented photographer, she spent our wedding day with us and her photos are absolutely stunning. For posed photos, she knew exactly where and how to set us up, and the candid photos she got of us, our friends, and family are perfect. I don’t know how she was able to catch all of these fleeting moments the exact second they were taking place. As a person, she is an absolute joy. You feel very comfortable and relaxed in her presence, she’s very fun and easy to talk to, and she cares about getting to know you. She goes above and beyond, I could not recommend her enough.
Highly recommend! Maddy is so kind as well as being real pro. We love our photos and she really brought the best energy to our wedding and engagement shoot.
