Magda Green Design Team (Magdalis, Julisse, and Darlin) were a pleasure to work with. From start to finish, they were responsive, supportive, and deeply knowledgeable about the permitting process. They consistently stayed on top of the project, communicated clearly, and made sure everything moved forward efficiently. Their dedication to meeting client needs and timelines really stood out. I highly recommend their team to anyone looking for reliable and experienced architectural professionals. Thank you!!
I was an attendee in the Zoning class with the Jumpstart Tioga program which instructed by Magdalis. She was thorough, and very knowledgeable regarding the zoning processes for the city. She answered all questions well and delivered a great curriculum during the three week class.

Do not use this company for anything. I had them do a structural engineering report to remove a violation on a building I purchased. They did a 57 page report of the entire building which I took to LnI in Philadelphia with architectural drawings to get a make safe permit. The LnI staff explained the report and prints could not be used because it has things not pertaining to the violation. I explained this to these people ans my architect. My architect got me updated drawings and these people at Magda especially someone name Chris are so arrogant telling me I undercut them because I used another company to do the drawings and his report is well done. They are so unprofessional and shouldn't be used. I spent $1300 and still can't get them to update the report so I can get the permit. Now I have to spend another $750 for a new report that only focuses on the violation. Waste of time and money....a horror show.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

We were hired to produce an engineering report in response to the City of Philadelphia's violation notice for your property. Our PE engineer conducted a thorough inspection and created a comprehensive report based on his observations and analysis of the existing conditions. The report aimed to address the specific violation as per the city's requirements.

We understand that you decided to use another company for the architectural drawings. Upon reviewing these plans, we found that they did not align with our engineering report. We scheduled a call with you to explain why the submission to the city was not accepted and to provide clarification on the matter.

Here are the key factors that influenced the city's decision:

Inconsistent Plans: The plans prepared by the other company included details that extended beyond the scope of our engineering report. They proposed interior work such as apartments, electrical plans, plumbing plans, and other details not relevant to the violation at hand.

Regulatory Requirements: According to city regulations, only one PE engineer can be involved in a project at a time. The plans provided by the other company were completed by a PE engineer, which caused a conflict. If an architect had sealed the drawings, they would have needed to base them on our engineer’s report.

To resolve this issue, we offered two options:

Drawings: We could create new drawings based on our engineering report. This would incur an additional cost since the initial request was solely for the report, and another company was hired for the drawings.

Coordinate with the Other Company: The company that prepared the plans could complete the engineer’s report if they did not agree with the findings in our report.

We regret any inconvenience this situation has caused. Our goal is always to provide professional and accurate services that comply with city regulations. We remain committed to resolving this issue and assisting you in any way possible to achieve compliance with the city’s requirements.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us directly.
