Marcona Kitchen - Catering

Marcona Kitchen did an incredible job catering our wedding. They provided the food, cakes, and bartending services, and everything was absolutely wonderful. One of the things that impressed us most was that the meal on the day of the wedding tasted exactly the same as it did during our tasting—every detail was just as delicious as we remembered. Our guests are still talking about the food, especially the passed appetizers. The bartenders were also fantastic. We’ve heard from multiple guests that they made the best margaritas they’ve ever had, which definitely kept the party going. They coordinated seamlessly with our rental company to determine all the place settings and serve ware needed for the evening, which made the logistics completely stress-free for us. We’re so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding such a great experience, and we would absolutely recommend Marcona Kitchen for any event.

I am giving this a mixed review. we were so excited to find a meal prep place that seemed to have a lot of options. We have had a couple of things which were pretty good, including some kind of chicken and risotto and a couple desserts. We also had the chicken fried steak meal for four with sides, and a different time, some of the gyoza dumplings. I heated the chicken fried steak separately in the oven per their website instructions, on the oven for one family member was home and put the rest in the fridge. Heated the rest later. I kid you not, the whole house smelled greasy and not great. I had to open windows and turn on fans to try to air out the kitchen. The same thing happened when we heated the gyoza, except this time someone put it in the microwave rather than the oven. The whole microwave and kitchen did not smell great and I had to clean out the microwave, air out the kitchen, and clean all the surfaces. Maybe these particular items are just odorous, but the whole point of heat and eat foods to me is a break from the norm of cooking, not having to mess up and then clean the kitchen every night for every meal. I am disappointed.

Just had a few different dishes at a wedding they were catering! Absolutely delicious ! Bacon lollipop ?!? Sushi ( I don’t even like sushi) and mini tacos ….evening was delicious !

I stumbled upon this gem while looking for some convenient meal prep options, but it's much better than that. Succinctly, I would say that It's meal prep from a real chef - It's fast food for people who want real food. The best all around meal option I have seen thus far. It's an excellent value only superseded by the quality of the food. Now for those who prefer it verbosely, let's begin. And let's be real- most often, cheap meals are unhealthy overly processed regrettable caloric pitfalls that look nothing like the picture. Even worse than being catfished by swai (If you know, you know). Marcona Kitchen offers a rotating menu of both traditional favorites and exciting forays into foodie firsts (Mexican Poblano Beef Lasagna?!?!... Surprisingly Good). Meals are conveniently packaged in containers that can be placed in the oven for reheating. Don't microwave this goodness, the hard work has already been done. An air fryer will suffice for some of the selections. However, regardless of your choice there is often a "Marcona Way" of preparing even the most basic staples. For example, you can get chicken fried chicken, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes anywhere - But at Marcona it's bacon mac and cheese along with a savory bacon white gravy all prepared with Nueske's bacon. What a foodie flex, most of us have never even heard of Nueske's bacon, now it sounds like we're choosing sides at a Michelin restaurant. The easiest way to order is on their Facebook page which you have to do by Sunday for the upcoming week, but you can also do it old school and just give them a call. If I had to find a gripe it would be the limited pickup hours of 2pm to 6pm, but that's understandable given that all these meals are being made fresh every morning and then made available in the afternoon. It's kinda like the best BBQ restaurants. Not open every day of the week, with odd hours, and when they run out, it's a wrap. However, Marcona offers a small selection of single serve meals at the counter if you miss out on the family dinner for the day. In the hustle and hassle of the daily grind, Marcona Kitchen has become a delightful reprieve in not only making dinner easy and convenient but something we're looking forward to on a weekly basis. Whether you're a busy professional or trying to ball out on a budget, Marcona Kitchen is certainly worth a try. Fyi- this is not one of those flyby reviews from first impressions. At the time of this review, I have purchased food from this location over 40 times in the previous 5 months. I got receipts. Now, if you made it this far, you might really be a foodie and know that I saved the best for last. Appropriately, it's Dessert. And that's all I'm going to say because it would truly require another separate review. However, as a word of precaution, I will say that if you are prone to overindulging on sweets, make sure you bring your accountability partner with you because you are in trouble...decadent ganache-laden trouble.

10/10. I am extremely picky on meal prep services or reheated meals period and let me tell you, it was amazing. The food quality, flavor and portions sizes are great. It's an overall great value for the overall food. I will be getting meals from here weekly!! Building is well maintained & people are very nice!

The Valentine's Day meal for two is without question one of the best meals we have enjoyed. Thank you, Marcona for offering so many delicious choices.

I ordered a 25th Wedding Anniversary cake and it was AWESOME! Delicious and beautiful made to my specifications.

Katie and her team are AMAZING! The food was fabulous and the service impeccable! Would not have changed a thing for our daughter’s wedding weekend! Definitely recommend! 10/10
