I have NO WORDS to describe how much we loved working with Marilia! From the beginning, she totally understood our vision and assured us that even though we are (self-proclaimed) extremely awkward in front of the camera, she’d help us get some awesome photos. BOY did she deliver! She made us feel so at ease all day and truly captured the wedding the way it was. I have no clue how she was able to capture all the love, joy, and absolute debauchery so authentically, but we are so grateful she did. She didn’t miss a single moment! Typically, my husband and I feel so uncomfortable on camera but we absolutely adored how these photos came out. I could go on and on for paragraphs about how great Marilia is, but just know that if you’re looking for a very cool, professional, kind photographer who will capture your wedding in a super authentic way, Marilia is the way to go!

I truly have nothing but wonderful things to say about Marilia!! Marilia photographed my wife and I’s wedding in November and the photos turned out so beautifully. We’re definitely a bit camera-shy, but they made us feel comfortable and at ease. From the start, they were very responsive to all of our questions and requests, I’d HIGHLY recommend booking Marilia!

Marilia made our elopement so special. She was unobtrusive but made sure to capture every moment and detail, and I love that she uses film and digital. The turnaround for the photos was fast- we got our film on the same day, and the digital photos a few weeks later. It was easy to book Marilia, to be shot by them, and to communicate throughout the process. I highly recommend them!

Marilia has truly mastered the art of wedding photography. She took time to hear exactly what I wanted for the wedding day, and executed it perfectly. I wanted people's personalities captured, as well as all of the special moments of joy. Marilia did that are more. Her professionalism is unmatched, I felt ease the entire time I worked with her. Working with Marilia was an absolute dream. From the moment we connected, we were drawn to Marilia’s creative style. Somewhere between documentary and editorial, romantic and intimate, almost like a love letter. Marilia is cool, fun, and calming, and she has a way of making her subjects feel completely at ease in front of the camera. She captures the truth of what is happening all day long, in the most beautiful and artistic way. On our wedding day, we had so much fun with Marilia. Marilia’s loose direction was perfect, never forced or staged, yet she seamlessly coordinated every photo location so we didn’t have to think about a thing. The result was images that feel effortless, natural, and full of emotion, yet polished enough to belong in Vogue. Within just two days of our wedding, Marilia had already sent us all of the film photos she captured (over 100 images that truly look like they could be scenes from a movie). They are even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Her ability to capture our love, the intimacy of the day, and the beauty of every moment is the greatest gift we could have received. Marilia is not only incredibly talented, but also a warm and inspiring person. We feel so lucky to have had her document our wedding, and we cannot recommend her more highly.

Marilia Lima Photography was a wonderful choice for our wedding photographer. Marilia was clear, organized, and professional in their communication with us throughout the entire process. Their work is meaningful, intentional and one of a kind. We selected them for their style which is natural, candid, and dreamy. Marilia was present and patient with Patrick, me and our families throughout the whole day, helping to capture the day with ease and grace. It was end of June and a little drizzly and Marilia embraced this and was able to capture some truly stunning detail shots in the rain. We did not do a first look so we did all our pictures after the ceremony and it never felt rushed; we were very at peace and were even able to make it to the cocktail hour. We were grateful for this. Marilia offers film as part of their standard packages, and I would highly recommend including this - one of my favorite shots so far is one they got of us under my veil on film. I highly recommend Marilia Lima Photography for your wedding day. Including a few detail shots we got back on film.

Marilia was amazing to work with. In terms of communication prior to the wedding, super professional, clear and was kind with all their responses to all my questions. During the actual wedding day Marilia got beautiful shots of the ceremony without being disruptive, was able to work with my massive bridal party our bridal party and portraits came out amazing!!! As someone who has felt more awkward in front of the camera, Marilia helped make the process feel less stressful and less of a “show.” I can’t recommend Marilia enough and am so happy with how beautiful our wedding photos turned out and the positive and calm presence she added to our day.

Don't know what we would have done on our wedding day without Marilia! So calming, knows her stuff, and really helpful for a couple of folks who are fairly camera shy. I would recommend Marilia 1000x over. Our guests also just loved her!

We have had pleasure to have Marilia do what she does best for our family for years. She has the ability to envision and capture the most beautiful moments but she has a special eye to capture candid shots which come alive and you can always relive those moments when you look at the pictures. She is clearly unique and one of a kind. We have trusted her with our wedding, our pregnancy, and newborn pictures and we have always been beyond happy with her art.

Hiring Marilia was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. On a hectic day, she made my wife and I feel at ease, and we’re beyond happy with the photos.
