This was my first writing experience. Working with Mayfly Design made it feel like I was a veteran. The team worked flawlessly with me through edits and uploads; and worked seamlessly with my cover art designer. It was such a positive experience that I have started writing my second book! I would 100% recommend Mayfly Design to any author, whether new or a veteran.

I highly recommend Mayfly Design! Julie & Ryan Scheife and Molly Mortimer were delightful to work with and delivered top-notch design services. In addition, they calmly led me through the book process and gave me the confidence I needed to make it happen!

Thank you for the kind words, Joann. It was a pleasure to collaborate together on your wonderful cookbook!
I had such a wonderful experience working with Mayfly. Their thoughtful, professional, and incredibly supportive guidance made a meaningful difference at every stage of the process. They helped me strengthen the structure of my book, clarify the flow from chapter to chapter, and shape the manuscript into a more cohesive and engaging read. Their meticulous attention to detail also uncovered inconsistencies, gaps, and areas that needed clarification—issues I would have missed on my own—and helped ensure the final manuscript was clear, polished, and publication-ready. I’m deeply grateful for their encouragement, expertise, and genuine investment in my work. I highly recommend Mayfly to any author looking for a team that cares about their book and knows how to make it stronger.

Thank you for the kind words, Linda. We appreciate your trust and partnership in bringing your beautiful book to life.
Working with Julie, Ryan, and Jess at Mayfly was a fantastic experience, one I hope to repeat on future projects. As editor alongside my author on his debut gift book, I wasn't sure excellent design and print-on-demand could coexist—Mayfly proved otherwise. Their expertise, thoughtful advice, and genuine care for the author's vision guided us through every step, from manuscript to final proofs and upload to metadata, and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. I can't recommend them enough.

Thank you, Elizabeth! Having you partner with the author throughout the design and publishing phases made it not only a very smooth but also fun process. Hope to collaborate with you again!
My criteria for choosing a publisher to work with were good communication, a schedule of what to expect, work that reflected my vision, and people who shared my values. Mayfly met and exceeded all of them while putting together my cover and layout, proofing, all the way to the published product. I highly recommend this business.

This was my first experience in book publishing, and Ryan at Mayfly was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He walked me through every step of the process, made many very astute observations and improvements to my book, and his design, aesthetic and book layout were terrific. I highly recommend Mayfly to anyone publishing a book that requires artful, unique and attractive design.

Thanks Errol. I can't wait for the world to see your cool collection of unique guitars and Michelle's beautiful photos. Congrats on all of your hard work.
Mayfly is a first-rate book design and publishing assistance group, whether you're a newbie to the process or an old hand (as I am, having worked in the NYC publishing biz for many years). Their clean, professional designs, great production and publishing know-how, and KIND, efficient communication brought my book to fruition on time and within budget. Every member of the team is a consummate professional. They made my book an eye-popper, and I'm so proud!

Outstanding service, price, and quality.I have worked with four or five similar services and this is the best.Very attentive. Always answered questions in person (not just by email or voice mail), and did an outstanding job ahead of schedule. I plan to use them again if formatting services are needed. Thank you Ritchey for the kind words. It was such an honor to work with you on your lovely memoir of love. Thank you for your trust. "Finding Fonda" is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful life.
The quality of their work and skills excelled. All timelines were set and strictly adhered to with efficient direction and guidance. Mayfly is very professional in their communication and knowledge of the process. I had little prior knowledge of the process of publishing and they guided the process with their expertise and patience. Thank you Ryan, Julie, and Molly. You were a delight to work with and I look forward to another venture of publishing through Mayfly.
