Meena's Home Daycare

We cannot recommend Meena enough! From the moment we met her, she made us feel completely comfortable, and she truly treats our family like her own. Our son was born premature, and Meena went above and beyond helping him with tummy time and head control — our pediatrician was impressed with his development after staying with Meena. She is warm, caring, and incredibly dependable, and her home is always spotless. Our son was never sick once during the months he’s been in her care, and he absolutely lights up around her. Meena is also wonderful about communicating with us every step of the way. We feel so lucky to have found her!

We are so fortunate to have started our son's daycare experience with Meena. She treats our son like a member of her family and always takes great care of him, plus we can tell she genuinely loves what she does. My son is always so happy when I pick him up, and I feel relaxed knowing he is getting the attention he needs there! We have also never had any issues with diaper rash or him getting sick since he has been going there which is an added plus

Meena has been great with our daughter. She felt safe and connected with her right away, which was very important to us. Not only is she detailed oriented and observant, but very kind, loving and understanding. Her daycare is nice because it only takes two babies at a time so our daughter gets the attention and care she needs. We are definitely grateful for Meena for her care and support!

I cannot say enough good things about Ms. Meena or her daycare. As first time parents, we were extremely anxious about leaving our little one with anyone but from the moment I met Meena I knew she would love and care for him like her own. My husband & I never worried when he was in her care.. we knew he was being well taken care of. Her home was beautiful and well kept, extremely safe for littles. She was great about keeping me updated and my baby was always so excited to see her. He excelled developmentally while with her & she fostered an environment that encourages kids. Our time with Ms. Meena was cut short due to her having to move for family obligations but I so cherish the time we spent with her and will be forever grateful we found her. This is so much more than a job to Meena. She truly sees all of the children & their parents as part of her own family and there was no place I’d rather have my infant.

Adding on to my review from 4 years ago. We've now sent our second daughter to Meena's because we had such success first time around. I love that we have had a consistent person to help with bith our kids. Meena helped prepare my first daughter for school and is doing the same with my second now. I highly recommend her daycare! (4 years ago) We are so lucky to have found Meena! We moved to Charlotte last October and were in a bind to secure a daycare for our (then) 6 month old daughter. I visited a few daycares and did not feel like any of them felt truly like home. When I went to Meena's it instantly felt like I was at "Grandma's" house...and I knew it was going to be a good fit. Meena is flexible, her house is clean, and she is responsive. I would highly recommend Meena!

I was a bit nervous about sending my son to daycare and especially an in-home daycare, but we were faced with 2 full time jobs and desperately needed to get him into daycare. We were very grateful that Ms. Meena had an opening, and she has done nothing but love and care for our little guy. She provides good communication and updates when your little one first starts and keeps you updated on any issues that may arise (e.g., tummy ache, another child is sick, etc). If you have any questions, concerns or information you need to pass along to her during the day, she is quick to respond. She really loves the children and wants the best for them and your family. When any adjustments at home change (e.g., switching to solids, transitioning from bottles to cups) she is in full support and implements what you ask at daycare. We started sending our daughter (and first child) to Meena's when she was around three months old and overall, it has been a fantastic experience. Both Meena and her husband are so kind and made us feel comfortable right away. They truly love the kids - and the kids love them! Meena does a great job communicating with parents about feeding and diaper schedules and/or issues and sends us cute pictures of our daughter playing! Beyond that her home daycare setup is lovely - very clean and well organized. While it's always hard to leave your child and go back to work, we know our daughter is safe, loved and in good hands at Meena's. I would highly recommend Meena's Home Daycare.

We don't have family here for care in Charlotte but finding Meena feels like we immediately filled that void. From the initial consultation to the first day dropping off our 4 month old we felt like he was in the hands of a trusted family member. Meena is such a warm and loving person, she cares for each child like it was her own. As a new mom she's helped me navigate the parental unknowns (colds, diaper rash and all the other fun discoveries.) She genuinely wants to watch your child grow and progress. I love seeing the faces of the children and parents when I pick my little one up, they all cling to her like they've had such a wonderful day and all go home with content looks on their faces. She also takes time to get to know you as a person and parent, and shares her life with you as well, that makes the experience and bond so much more special. We're so grateful that we have her as out little one's caregiver, she's truly a gem!

We have been with Meena for a few months now and everything has been fantastic. I was nervous about sending my daughter there at first as it was our first day care experience and all of the other children were older, but Meena did everything she could to make our daughter feel comfortable. She cares for the children like they are her own and caters to individual needs. She is professional while also warm and loving. It is very clear that she has been doing this for a long time and has a lot of experience. She was very accommodating with our scheduling needs as well. This is a great solution that provides the benefits of both a day care (socialization and interaction) and a nanny (individualized attention, intimate home setting), the best of both worlds. Highly recommend!

Our daughter began attending 7ish months ago when she was 10 months old and this was our first daycare experience. Sending your baby to daycare for the first time is not easy (especially during a pandemic) but we felt comfortable with Meena and her husband and could tell right away that our daughter was in good hands. It’s been great having our daughter at a small center where she gets a lot of love and attention but still has opportunities to socialize and learn from other littles. Meena has been very accommodating to our asks and is great about communicating and sending photo updates. I would definitely recommend Meena’s daycare to anyone but particularly if you are looking for a more personalized feel (like you might get from a nanny) but still want those opportunities for socialization and small group structure.
