I truly had no idea how meaningful this experience would be until I was in it. As a busy mom, somehow an entire decade went by without having professional photos taken with my daughter—who is now almost 12. Walking into this, I carried a mix of emotions: intimidation, a little regret, and a deep desire to capture something special… even if I wasn’t sure how we’d get there.
From the very beginning, Megan created a space that allowed all of those feelings to exist and then gently moved us beyond them. Her gift goes so far beyond photography. She has this incredible ability to see and reflect the heart of a relationship, and somehow bring out moments that feel both natural and deeply meaningful.
There were so many interactions and expressions captured that I didn’t even know were possible, but that perfectly represent who we are together. The final portraits are something I will cherish forever but honestly, the experience itself was just as impactful. From the preparation to the session, it became a memory in itself… one I will hold onto just as tightly as the photos.
I’m so grateful that Megan shares her gift in this way. She didn’t just create beautiful images she created a core memory for my daughter and me. And that is something I will never be able to thank her enough for.
