These folks are fantastic, fair, and thorough. I got quotes from multiple solar installers, and this one just felt right. Wasn't trying to sell me financing or any other scams. In fact, the payback on the system ended up being on the edge, and the team really pushed me to consider whether I wanted the system. It's rare to find honest people these days.

If you are considering solar and other related services, don't walk ..RUN to Michael & Sun Solar in Graton, CA. :) You will be working with people of the highest integrity; and that, unfortunately, is not always true in the solar business. We worked directly with the owner Michael and William Shock who patiently walked with us every step of the way in the process, including advising us when we applied for a SCEIP loan. And when we needed an adjustment to the design to maximize our solar collection, they came up with a plan and made that correction as part of our contract price. You will definitely get what you pay for: expert guidance in designing the system, top of the line solar panels and batteries, quality installation, and the integrity to stay the course until the system is up and running perfectly!! We couldn't be more pleased!!

We were extremely satisfied with Michael & Sun Solar. They were available any time for any of our many questions, even before we signed a contract. We love our solar and battery system. It's been so much fun to harvest the sun. We purchased a second electric car, and it is now the most fun game to catch as much of that free sun that we can.
It certainly can be a challenge to be as efficient with our resources as possible, and I love that you think of it as a game, Kristin - sometimes, it can even be fun! For example, my son and I like to see just how far we can drive in our hybrid before the gas motor kicks in - there are definitely some tricks to it!
We recently completed our second solar installation with Michel and Sun Solar, having previously worked with them on another property. Once again, they delivered solid results. This latest project came with some timeline challenges during the planning phase, with quite a bit of back and forth over plans and schematics. That said, once we received final approval, everything moved forward smoothly and right on schedule. The team kept us informed every step of the way, and their communication was clear and consistent throughout the entire process. The installers themselves were fantastic—very friendly, respectful of our space, and impressively tidy. It’s always a good sign when a crew treats your home like their own. Overall, we’re very happy with the outcome and grateful for Michel and the Sun Solar team's professionalism and attention to detail. Would definitely recommend them, and wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again in the future.
