I was a travel nurse in Sioux Falls and needed a place to train while there. I am glad I found Midwest Martial Arts. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming at the gym. Devin is a great coach who takes the time to make sure you understand concepts, and pushes you to be better. The mats are very clean. If I am ever in Sioux Falls again, I will without a doubt be coming back here to train.

In a world where every dojo claims to teach Muay Thai, it's a blessing to find one that actually teaches real Muay Thai.
I always make it a mission to visit whenever I'm in the area.
Also, they moved a couple doors down and have a way bigger place so its very roomy! 🙌

I started training here last June as a total beginner in martial arts. Devin and the coaches do a great job teaching both Muay Thai and BJJ. Classes will be fun, challenging, and very rewarding. If you're thinking about starting your martial arts journey do it here!!

The instructor has ample experience in both BJJ and Tai boxing. When he’s teaching he breaks it down step by step so it’s easy to understand. It is a welcoming and positive atmosphere that makes it fun to be around. Definitely worth it.

Been training with Devin and team since March 2025 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Devin is a fun instructor and classes are both mentally and physically challenging.

MMA Academy is one of the best academies for people like me who want to learn and advance, but still have responsibilities outside of the gym. They welcomed me and my husband into their academy so easily, especially when I was so unsure about starting. Devin and Tresa are great owners and extremely knowledgeable in martial arts. I have been attending classes for over a year and a half and have enjoyed every minute of it. Also a great place for your kids!
