Had a very interesting experience when talking about possible business accountants. Was around a few friends and mentioned the name Tina Minton. Got a very interesting data point, turns out one of them was retired as a tax collector for the state of Virginia and sees the side of this we never hear anything about. Without hesitating he immediately said, Tina Minton, she's a good one, that's a solid choice. I'd say I know that to be the case, but now I KNOW that to be the case!!

Last week, I got there around 3:45 with probably 100+ pages of documents to sift through. Grace and Alex printed them all off and showed me how much I owed and what I needed to do to resolve my situation. They were very patient with me and showed me how to use the ID.ME app, set up my account, and did a trial payment to make sure it worked. They stayed with me almost an hour past close and didn't complain. Awesome team!

Our original CPA was retiring after doing our taxes for over 10 years. We were very hesitant on who we could trust to do the job correctly. This was the worst experience that I’ve ever had with Accounting ever I ended up paying for my taxes in advance. She charged me in advance for the full year and makes it where part of the money goes to reconciliation and the other part towards taxes up front ! She was so unresponsive that I decided in September that we were gonna get someone else and we asked her to refund the money that we paid in advance for the taxes. She refused to do the taxes and refuse to give us our money back.! I would never ever use them again! Once I posted this review, I had so many people reach out to me and tell me all of the nightmares that they had! She also filed my taxes with the wrong EIN number ! They Made so many mistakes ! Completely unresponsive ! We would reach out and it would take weeks for them to call us back sometimes even longer ! This is the Worst accounting firm I have ever used ! They took my she hadmoney for months and wouldnt respond ! She was either on vacation or some new family emergency ! Finally, when I decided to to hire someone else they wouldn’t repay me for the upfront money I paid !! This is the ! Worst experience I have ever had ! She also told our staff that she was going to refund us $6000 and the money and the check was in the mail! Then weeks later after we said where is the refund check she said oh I never sent it! She flat out lied to our staff saying she mailed the check! Then she on the phone no I didn’t send it ! I will never prepay to pay someone to do my taxes again ! I would never ever use this company if you paid me !!!
Did not have a good experience with this firm after our prior CPA sold her practice to her. Charges top dollar for services, paid for a mock return that we used to base dividend income on and it was completely wrong. Had to hire another CPA to correct all the mistakes. Office staff was as helpful as could be, but the professional advice I paid for was completely wrong.
I stand by my review, yes, you did charge the same fee for corporate tax preparation as my previous CPA, my issue was the exorbitant fee you charged to manage dividend payments, which were totally inaccurate. I had to ask several times to get the mock tax return in writing. When my son in law, who is a CPA, MBA prepared my tax return using your mock return, I OWED the govenment a lot of money. Your mock return that I paid substantially for was useless. And no, I did not want to engage with you any further and spend even more money for services that do not help with my situation.

We appreciate your feedback as we take this very seriously. We have not prepared your return in over two years. You asked us to prepare a business tax return which we did and charged you the exact same fee your previous CPA charged for your business return. You asked our firm to help you create a way to show less income so you could qualify for a lower health insurance rate through the exchange. We created a series of dividend payments that accomplished this for you. The charges you paid beyond the tax return were for this service.
You later pulled your file and had your son-in-law take over your tax preparation due to the advice he provided you with. I stand behind the work we did as being both completely accurate and fully compliant with all tax regulations.
We offered to meet with you and your son-in-law to help clarify the tax planning decisions made, even though you disengaged services, to assist with a smooth transition and you did not want to meet.
