I cannot say enough good things about The Mix Cooking School! I have taken multiple classes here now, and every single one has been an absolute blast. The instructors do a fantastic job of keeping the recipes very easy to follow, making it such a fun, stress-free way to learn new culinary skills.
My only minor wish is that they would offer even more classes on the schedule because I want to keep coming back! That being said, I am so incredibly happy they finally opened up the cinnamon roll class for all ages, rather than keeping it strictly for kids. It was such a treat to finally get to do it. Whether you are a beginner or just looking for a fun night out, I highly recommend checking them out!

My husband and I had such a wonderful time! Marcy taught us that process and oven temps are everything for macarons to come out perfect. She gave us useful baking tips I never would have thought of (and I bake a lot) and made us feel as though we were naturals at the process.
There were a variety of colors and flavors to choose from and each of us walked away with our own dozen macarons to enjoy at home. It was the best two hours we could have spent yesterday evening and we can't wait to sign up for more of her classes!

I’ve seen great reviews for this cooking school, but the class we attended was a disaster. We attended the fried chicken class. Really wasn’t fried chicken but sautéed in butter. Don’t spend your money on this class. … the only good thing I can say is my daughter and I had so much laughter we had fun because everything was such a mess and grossness (touching raw chicken and no sanitizing we couldn’t eat anything!). They screwed up almost everything including seating to cook with your partner!!! Lovely ladies but don’t know how to run a cooking class. Good luck if you go!!

Linda, I certainly wish you would have mentioned something to me or the instructor if you had any concern during the class. We always seat people with their friends or family members, so we would have moved seats to accommodate you if we would have known. Each person individually handles only their own chicken and gloves were offered and worn by everyone who took them. We also replaced each individual work surface with fresh parchment throughout the class, so you're always working on a clean surface. Hand washing stations are right in and next to the cooking island, and you were able to wash hands and wear gloves at any time through the class. This has been one of our most popular classes for 7 years, and we are always very mindful of each person individually handling and cooking their own chicken for safety and so that you learn by doing the cooking process at your cooking station.
