Mixin' It Up Gluten Free Bakery at a glance

Customers frequently praise the bakery's wide variety of celiac-safe items, including donuts, breads, and cakes, noting that the products taste indistinguishable from conventional gluten-filled goods. The establishment also receives positive feedback for its accommodating service and willingness to accommodate specific dietary restrictions like peanut and egg allergies. However, recurring criticisms in low-star reviews highlight high pricing for specialty orders, inconsistent product freshness with some items described as dry or stale, and occasional issues with customer communication regarding order waits and storage instructions.

“The older woman working there was rude and extremely unhelpful, and she showed very little knowledge or concern regarding our specific needs.”

They came to Duluth for a preorder event and I will definitely be going there when I’m in the area again! I am gluten and dairy free and I haven’t had a donut in years. It was so good and I’m excited to try the rest of the treats I got!

Not only is it 100% celiac safe, they have DF as well! The deliveries taste as good as if i walked out of the store. They delivered and i FINALLY got a long john after 10+ years…. I ate the whole thing in the parking lot. The only reason the other 4 made it home is because they were in a cooler

We got a chance to try their new yeasted donuts today. Oh my gosh!!! So good! 100/10. The one thing I've missed since marrying a celiac was these types of donuts. Thank you so much for making the trek to Duluth. Even if it was short.

Love their products. Family owned business that makes celiac-safe and delicious baked goods. The only place I’ve had gluten free donuts that don’t taste gluten free.

I was traveling through this area after saving this bakery a while ago since I live a few hours away. I made a detour to stop and it was so worth it. My gluten eating family and I tried a variety of bars, cookies, and of course the cinnamon bread. Everything was delicious, and no one could tell it was gluten free. I will definitely be stopping again in the future. Sad I’m missing the Duluth delivery happening soon, but check them out.

I drove 1 hour 20 minutes from the suburbs of the Twin Cities to visit this bakery. I’ve been gluten free for 15 years with Celiac and discovered Mixin it Up on social media. Their bakery is small but has LOTS of delicious options — from fresh bread, to macaroons, to organic lotions. I bought a cinnamon roll, a mini French Silk pie, three sugar cookies, and three yeast-raised donuts, which came to about $60. Everything was DELICIOUS. They heated the cinnamon roll up for me and I ate it in my car. I haven’t had a cinnamon roll since before I went gluten free, and it was scrumptious! My 6-year-old daughter, who eats does not have celiac, loved the sugar cookies. The donuts were sooooo good. I ate them the next day and just popped them in the microwave for 10 seconds and they were still fresh and good. My absolute FAVORITE thing though — was the French Silk Pie. What. A. Treat. It was DIVINE!! I haven’t had French Silk Pie since childhood. I ABSOLUTELY will be back!! Worth every minute of the drive!

Stopped in today for the first time. Tried a sample of your sandwich bread and brought a loaf and some other goodies home. I literally cried over a sandwich when I got home. Only 3 months into my gluten free journey after a Celiac diagnosis. I thought I would NEVER have a sandwich again. All the breads I have tried are terrible. Thank you! I am one happy lady.

I was so looking forward to The Visit. I had great service spent $30 and took a bite out of everything. It was all dried out, i felt like maybe it was day old? It was not as good as I hoped it would be 😪

We would be happy to chat with you on the phone about the order, if we have anything that is day old, we sign it and usually have it on sale so depending on what was purchased, when and how it was cared for once purchased will all make a difference. Please give us a call and we can discuss your order, we never want anyone to be unhappy with our order

$60 for 12 GF Cupcakes! Wow. Gold dust added? I'm just the one paying, but please hold a pistol on me during a robbery, that would seem more reasonable 🤬

  • Price per person: $50–60
  • Noise level: Loud, but you can still talk

We had to double-check our prices after reading this one! 😂 Standard cupcakes: $42 per dozen. Jumbo cupcakes (twice the size): $26 per six-pack. We did look into adding gold dust, but unfortunately that would have pushed the price up to $75. 😂 In all seriousness, our cupcakes are handmade in a dedicated gluten-free bakery using specialty ingredients, by employees who are paid to make them. We understand our prices aren't for everyone, and that's perfectly okay. Thankfully, purchasing cupcakes is entirely optional. 😉 a one-star review with incorrect pricing and inaccurate descriptions doesn't accurately represent our bakery or what we offer We'd be happy to clarify the difference between our cupcake sizes anytime!
