Great instruction and all art supplies included. I attend the adult Mixed Media class and take my grandson to the "Creating with Kids Class". Thoroughly enjoy both.

Mr. Mize is ABSOLUTELY amazing, and I am so glad I signed my daughter up for his classes. I signed her up for his monthly plan last year, and I have had such a good experience. We love the system of classes and how you don’t need to be there for every one to be caught up on anything, each class is a new one with new techniques brought home every time! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Thanks so much for the very kind words! I take it as high praise when kids who can't seem to find activities they want to stick with decide they enjoy the studio enough to keep coming back! And let me tell you, your kiddo is just a bundle of exuberent energy that is extremely contagious!
I'm glad to hear you enjoy the weekly project rotation at the studio! By having each week be a stand alone project it makes it easy for new students to jump in and join us any time. Plus, as you mentioned, when you miss an occasional week you don't feel like you're getting behind. It's also works out though, because the more classes you do attend, the more techniques and materials you get to use and gain experience working through repetition.

Mize Art Studio is truly a gem! My daughter’s have flourished here thanks to the incredible guidance of Mr. Mize. His teaching style blends patience, creativity, and encouragement, making every class both inspiring and enjoyable. He takes the time to understand each student’s strengths and helps them grow with confidence, whether they’re just starting out or already exploring advanced techniques.
The studio itself is welcoming and full of creative energy—it’s the kind of space where students feel comfortable experimenting and expressing themselves. What sets Mr. Mize apart is his genuine passion for art and his dedication to nurturing that same passion in his students. My daughter always leaves class excited to share what she’s learned and motivated to keep creating.
If you’re looking for a private art studio that offers not only skill-building but also a supportive and uplifting environment, Mize Art Studio is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Wow! Thanks so much for leaving such a thoughtful and detailed review! I had to look it up, but your daughters have been coming since 2022! One of my favorite things about the studio is getting to have long term connections like that with students! Week by week getting to watch them sharpen their skills and improve with their abilities. I'm so grateful to have had your family be such a longstanding part of our studio community!

Mr. Mize is ABSOLUTELY amazing, and I am so glad I signed my daughter up for his classes. I signed her up for his monthly plan last year, and I have had such a good experience. My daughter lives in town during the school year, but goes out of state during the summer. We pay for the monthly package, but because she was going to be out of town for 2 1/2 months, I wasn’t desiring to pay for the classes while she couldn’t attend. Mr. Mize, not only paused our membership for the summer, but he was polite, kind, and considerate in doing so. His classes are not kids doing the same form of media/art every week. He always switches it up, and is wonderfully patient with the kids. If you have a kiddo who loves art, I highly recommend his classes!

I'm so sorry that I somehow overlooked replying to this! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a gracious review! I have vivid memories of when my kids were young and the challenges of managing their calendars and coordinating the "Kid Taxi!" I've always stived to make the enrollment and payment process as flexible and effecient as possible for parents. I hope we'll get to see your kiddo in the studio again real soon!

For my child who doesn’t have any interest of playing any sports, finding Mr. Mize’s art classes has become an amazing outlet for my daughter to attend classes and express her artistic abilities! Strongly recommend and encourage all children to give it a try!

Thanks so much for your review! I'm so glad your daughter is enjoying the classes! She absolutely fits right in to the studio setting! As the only studio offering weekly art classes that meet year round, Mize Art Studio is uniquely equipped for those kids, teens, and even adults that don't have much interest in sports or other related activities.

My son LOVES art classes with Mr. Mize! He makes everything so fun, and the kids can earn prizes through their art they do at home. This studio is wonderful for the imagination!

So glad to hear your son loves coming to the studio! He is a wildly imaginative artist and I’m also excited to see what crazy creatures he has drawn in his sketchbook this week!
I’m glad he is motivated by the incentive for Mize Money to continue making art outside of the studio!

My daughter is almost 12 years old, and she's been going to art classes with Mr Mize for years now. She absolutely loves it and our shelves are adorned with all the cool art she's done there. She's met friends in class that have become friends outside of art class.
Mr Mize is a great teacher, and he has a fantastic style that keeps the children engaged and having fun. It's a really special place for kids to explore art and creativity.
Response from the owner · 2 years ago
One of my favorite aspects of running the studio is the number of students I've had the privilege of getting to know, and watch grow, over the span of years. It really is a great honor for me to get to play some small roll in students lives over an extended period.
And your daughter is an absolute joy to have in class! She always comes in with so much enthusiasm and never fails to make something wonderful! Plus, she's always willing to jump in and help out when needed!
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a kind review!
