NIGHT AND DAY difference in the service I’ve received from this company. Jekyll and Hyde.
Jacob Garza was the first technician I had over to my house and he was an utter delight. He was kind and affable and he fixed me up with a new shower head-checked on my plumbing in the basement to make sure everything was okay, and even fixed up my sink real quick (it had the wrong filter). All of this including the part ended up being $180-a steal and great service from a kind guy!
Then, I called in for a service to come look at my bidet hookup to see if it was set for warm water. First i make an appointment for Sunday from 8-12. I get up super early on a Sunday and get dressed and everything and proceed to wait….
At 11:20 i finally call them wondering when someone is estimated to appear and thats when I get “oh sorry we forgot about you” and right before my tired and upset self hangs up the offer to waive the service call base fee of 59 bucks. That’s nice! At least…after waiting all morning for nothing.
Next morning, Grant Peterson is arriving in a prompt and timely manner. I open the door and introduce myself and he completely ignores me and looks at the floor. He doesn’t even care if he’s at the right house or not, because he’s going straight to business I guess. He goes in, tinkers with it for about 3 minutes, and then tells me everything’s fine and everything’s working as it should-and even tests the water for me for about 2 seconds. Then, I get charged 100 dollars for that. I’m confused…to say the least. Is the service fee of 59 dollars included in that? I call the company twice. The first time, the receptionist seemed like she actually cared and wanted to make sure that the problem was fixed and that I was satisfied. I went and tested it and it was working. So I called back trying to understand the payment I had just made and the receptionist I got the second time (Rachel?) was just barking down my throat like it’s ME not them, that price is totally correct even tho they don’t itemize receipts.
So I could’ve been charged about 160 dollars for a completely rude, standoffish person who made me uncomfortable in my own home to tell me everything was fine and made seemingly no effort. The first time I was charged 180 for AMAZING service and I wasn’t even forgotten about!
This company, it appears, is all about WHO you get on the phone and WHO you get sent to your house. There is no consistency that I can see.

We were in an emergency, our business had no running water, with a possible leak as well. We spoke to them at 7:30am on Friday and they had people at our place by 8:30a.m. They were able to identify and fix the issue by 11am that day. We were able to open our business on time with no more issues. They really came through for us, when we were getting much longer response times from other plumbing services. We really can’t thank them enough for their quick response time and absolute professionalism. They got job done!!!

Unfortunately, in my case, the job was not completed all the way through. The company failed to repair the plumbing issue altogether. Which started with a simple ceiling leak. The plumber did repair something but not fixed the actual major issue. After the drywall was put back in place, we could hear the droplets of water hit the ceiling / drywall again. So I called the plumber back. They came back and said, we can’t hear anything. And now exactly a year later, after the water has accumulated, the water has soaked up the walls again.
I understand a business or any kind of business that says: Yes, I can repair it, and then doesn’t repair it. Either you know how to fix it or not. That cost me a couple of grand. Or more.
Now, me have to call another company to fix something this company failed to do.
The only thing that I can say positively is that the plumber was a nice employee!

Colton did a great job I had 2 jobs not normal repairs he did what I asked told me about the membership they have that helps with cost my leak was costing my water bill to be 3 times more than usual thanks Colton

I can't thank the technician enough! He was very knowledgeable, he took his time and properly diagnosed the issue. This could have been a costly repair, had a believe the St. Louis Water company diagnoses or if this was NOT an honest person!! When I tell you, Kirkwood plumbing is now the only company on my list!
