Muscleman Elite Movers Lakeway & Bee Cave

I wasn't going to write a review, but Muscleman kept bugging me to do so. At least they did until I gave them three stars, and then suddenly they decided not to link me to Google. I got here anyway, and I'll share the good and the not-so-good from our October 14 move. Shelbie, in the office, did a great job of getting me prepared and planning to meet my needs. She got an experienced crew to my place on schedule, with all the necessary boxes, blankets, and so-on. The move wasn't far. We were returning to our newly-renovated home from the apartment where we had been living temporarily. Because the two locations were close to each other, we had already moved most of our stuff in small loads in our cars. The crew helped us pack up the remaining goods at the apartment and then they brought the packed-up stuff into our house. Since we had already moved most of the fragile stuff, I felt pretty easy-going about this part of the move. All the same, I don't understand the crew's need for speed. I guess they couldn't help themselves. They packed up the apartment in a whirlwind of motion. The guy packing the dishes, glassware and kitchen goods was new on the team and the other two guys teased him about being slow, but he had experience with another mover out of state, and he did an outstanding job. Moving my desk wasn't so slick. I had suggested stretch-wrapping the drawers so we wouldn't have to empty and reload them, but I did not anticipate that they would load the stretch-wrapped drawers vertically in a big box. Stuff slid around, books and papers got crunched, and a few things fell out of the wrap. (I found most of them before the crew left, so that's not horrible.) I warned them when we left the apartment that I'd ask them to slow down when they got to the house. Not only were we concerned about the things that they were moving, we did not want to damage newly painted walls, new floors and carpets, and new furniture. I figured that we were paying them by the hour and they didn't have plans following our move, so slowing down would be fine with them. They were very cautious bringing their big truck down our long tree-lined driveway, lifting branches over the truck so they wouldn't break them. Thank you! When they arrived, it turned out that they did not have any floor protection or shoe covers. And then inside the house, they had a hard time slowing down. They did a heroic job of passing my desk in over a sofa we preferred not to move, but overall, we felt that we had to keep begging and reminding them to take it slow and remain careful. My wife reminded them that we had chosen Muscleman because it's "elite" and that she was expecting something more like white-glove service. We did not feel any special level of care during this process. I'm pretty sure they were also tired of us by the time they left. I asked them to be as careful of the trees alongside the driveway on their way out as they had been on the way in, and the senior guy exulted, "We don't have to be careful of the branches on the way out!" Off they went, promptly breaking off a big oak branch. So, in summary, they arrived on schedule and achieved the move with only a little permanent damage but plenty of headaches. By way of contrast, we had our new furniture delivered by another company, named after the city where we live. They had set a standard for us of "white glove," and Muscleman was disappointing by comparison.

Three great guys showed up to just load my motorcycle into my pick up. It didn’t take them but five minutes, but they did a great job. Very careful nothing damaged: nothing scratched. I’d certainly use them again.

I highly recommend Muscleman Elite Movers. They arrived right on time and were courteous, professional, and incredibly efficient throughout the entire move. They worked extremely hard and took exceptional care of all of my furniture and belongings. Everything was handled carefully and respectfully, and they made the whole moving process so much easier and less stressful. I was extremely impressed with their work ethic and professionalism and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Highly recommend!

So impressed with the Musclemen who moved my Thermador fridge (600+ lbs) upstairs. They coordinated with my appliance company so everyone was on the same page and arrived seamlessly at the same time. Very professional, easy to work with every step. Very impressed with the move.
