Cannot say enough about how amazing this gym is! From the instructors to the folks that attend, this place is one of the best whether you are just starting BJJ or looking to broaden your tool belt! I cannot recommend this place enough to those interested in improving their grappling skills.
Very welcoming group, as a beginner I always felt comfortable starting my BJJ journey here. Shout out to Tony, Nick and everyone else at Mushin!

I transferred from another school where I had been for a long time loved all the people, but wanted higher level instruction. There are plenty of gyms out there, but I wanted one with a great culture and high-level teachers with a broad base. Mushin has been the perfect fit. You can be a beginner and feel safe, compete at the highest level and have the best coaches, and be somewhere in between and feel like you have the guidance, support, and people to help you grow.

Can’t say enough good things about Mushin. The environment Tony has created here is one of a kind. It’s warm and welcoming but the training is tough and technical. The facility is fantastic and the people are even better.

I’ve trained at four different gyms, and Mushin has been the best by far. It’s the only gym I’ve been to where you’re not fighting for mat space. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and have the accolades to back it up. You can tell they care about helping people get better and preventing injuries. The vibe is very friendly and welcoming, with lots of camaraderie between members. And they play good music too. Highly recommend Mushin to anyone looking for a great place to train in NYC!

I was originally going to give this 2 stars since I got rocked by the team Nah I’m joking lol - I’m from Arizona and have been rolling for a year. I was looking to drop in while working was visiting nyc and reached out to them on instagram They were very responsive and the class was so good! A few situationals for the class then after class there were some live rounds So fun and I’d highly recommend it! Definitely will come back next time I’m back!

It’s been a while, but I started my martial arts journey @mushnmma. I originally signed up for their striking program and instantly fell in love. Going 4-5 days a week, it was better than going to a regular gym, by far. Many years after, I was actually peer pressured into jiu jitsu and have never looked back. The classes are more personal verses the bigger MMA gyms or Bjj schools. Back then and even now, this was what kept me hooked. The professors and top notch and give you solid direction and push you to be a better version of yourself. Highly recommended, don’t hesitate, sign up now. -Dennis Lake

Incredible facility where you will find the best instruction and an incredible room of people as well. The facility is beautiful , filled with style , class , and a state of the art weightlifting area. Anyone in the NYC area needs to give this place a visit. Ask for Uncle Tony
