Took our dog here for an eye ulcer after cherry eye surgery at another vet. Everyone in the Opthalmology department was wonderful, from the receptionists and the techs to the doctor (who always explained everything that was going on). I hope we don't have any other major problems that require their services again, but I would go back to them in a second if I needed to. Our little furry baby is all better now!

Saw Dr Jones and future-vet Kayla today - wonderful team and feeling so much better about my little guy’s eye issues. Cost was very reasonable, and am happy to start treatment. 💟

I’m not typically one for reviews…but when it comes to my feathered babies, i most definitely am reviewing to save someone else. To be clear, i couldn’t see my normal avian vet because they were booked out for the next two weeks and my bird seemed sick. The “4 year vet student” had no personality or emotion. When she asked me about his watery “droppings” she also asked how his urine was..if you know anything about birds, it all comes out in one. The total visit took almost 2 hours, so which i was panicking because they took my baby out of the room for the exam and i didn’t see him this whole time. I asked to do bloodwork as he’s never had it before. Just to cover my bases so i didn’t have to come back. I was later told he wasn’t cooperating and they could only get enough for one panel. I fear they probably traumatized him. They also almost made me pay for an ER visit instead of a sick visit. But i stuck to what the women on the phone had told me. The doctor was very kind, to which i gave two stars. And maybe it was my bad for taking my precious baby to a teaching school…but lord save yourself and do not go here. I have no idea how students like this one is gonna make it in the world. Bless them.

This is truly an amazing, world-class hospital. A huge shout out to Dr. Lehnhardt and the rest of the staff. Their expertise and compassion is incredible. We came to them under emergency circumstances when our sweet boxer presented with heart failure. We were in their ER after hours. Not only was the ER team incredible in explaining our treatment options, they were able to call in their absolutely amazing cardiology team to help with diagnostics and further treatment. We feel so lucky that our boy was able to receive such amazing care. While all things nowadays are expensive, this team truly works with you to find the best and most realistic options for budget constraints. I cannot recommend both their ER team and Cardiology team enough. Thank you so very much.

NC state Veterinary Hospital and its staff are the best! My Berner had been in 3 different facilities with a diagnosis of pneumonia. He was not yet 2 years old and almost died. He wasn't progressing as expected and was transferred to NC State Hospital to their Internal Medicine Service where he was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia, GERD and a possible protein allergy. They were amazing and continue to monitor him on an outpatient basis. If you want excellent care for your pet, they are superb! 💕❤️💕
