I had a great experience with Nelson Family Plumbing & Water Heaters. Diego came out to remove a saddle valve on one of my water lines that was causing very low flow to the refrigerator dispenser, and he replaced it with a proper compression stop. He fixed the issue quickly, and right away the water flow was back to…
I called Nelson Family Plumbing & Water Heaters after feeling frustrated with a previous plumber who came out to review some plumbing work and give estimates. From the first phone call, Jeff sounded much more experienced and gave a clear, realistic idea of the work and pricing. Later, Malik came out to handle the…
i called to set up an appointment for a kitchen sink installation and some plumbing updates under the sink. they fit us into the schedule pretty fast, and they stayed ready to help even when the job turned out to be bigger than expected because of older plumbing in the house. diego got the drain lines, water lines,…
i had a few questions about putting in a drain pump under my bar sink because it was not draining right. jeff spent a few minutes on the phone with me, listened to the plumbing issue, and shared his experience with sink drain pumps and basic troubleshooting. I was very impressed with Jeff from Nelson Family Plumbing & Water Heaters from the first visit. He came out on a Saturday evening to clear an outside kitchen drain line and used a larger drain cable to fully remove the blockage. He worked fast, explained what was going on, and the price was very fair. I asked him…
I’m in Hercules, and even though this plumbing company usually does not cover my area, the plumber still took the time to help with my septic and drain problem. I explained what was going on, and he came out anyway. When Jeff arrived, he was very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to talk to. He carefully checked…
Really appreciated the fast response to our plumbing call, along with the professional service and solid workmanship. We had been having trouble with our water heater for a while, even though it was not very old and had not been installed by this plumbing company. It was starting to fail, with a bad smell and soot around the unit. We called for plumbing service, and they responded very quickly. jeff and gerald came out, checked the…
They handled a full bathroom plumbing remodel for us, removing the old tub, wall tile, vinyl floor, toilet, and sink, then installing a new shower, grab bars, toilet, and sink. Gerald was very patient while we finalized the work and made several changes to the original plan. He was easy to work with and always…
We had a stubborn clog in our septic line coming from the house. The plumbing company was able to send someone out quickly, even though their regular drain expert wasn't available. They made sure another plumber, Norman, who was nearby, could help us right away. Norman was incredibly friendly and really knew his…

We woke up to find our water heater had stopped working, and water was leaking all over the basement. We called a few plumbing companies, but Nelson Family Plumbing & Water Heaters answered right away and gave us a fair price. Malik and Jeff reached out to us, picked up a new water heater on their way since the…
A couple years back, I ran into a big plumbing problem on Christmas Day in Hercules. I had peeled a bunch of potatoes and put the peels down the kitchen sink, which ended up clogging the drain. With family over, the sink was out of commission, and nothing I tried—like using a plunger or a drain snake—would clear the…

They really came through when I needed urgent help with a stubborn drain issue at my home in Hercules. Before this, I had several other…
We’ve called on this plumbing company twice since moving into our home, both times for issues with our hot water heater. The first time, Jeff came out and quickly replaced the gas control valve. Most recently, Malik fixed a leak in the pipes leading into the water heater. Both plumbers were very professional,…
The team did an excellent job! They are honest, take time to explain what needs to be done, how everything works, and always give different options for fixing plumbing problems. I had an excellent experience with the plumber. Gerald replaced our kitchen faucet quickly and professionally. I called early in the morning, and he answered right away and was able to come out to Hercules that same day. There were some black particles coming out of the old faucet and small leaks under the sink, but…
I recently had a small leak in my water heater at my home in Hercules, so I reached out to Nelson Family Plumbing & Water Heaters. After just one flush, our toilet stopped working. We called a plumber in Hercules, and after they unclogged our sewer line, we discovered that our pipes were old terracotta and needed to be replaced.
