Customers frequently praise Nelson Landscaping for professional crews, punctual arrivals, and clear communication regarding irrigation, retaining walls, and deck installations. The high rating reflects satisfaction with design capabilities and the team's responsiveness during active projects. However, lower-rated reviews indicate patterns of poor follow-up communication after payment, unresolved structural failures, and dissatisfaction with minimum project fees or out-of-area charges.

We had Nelson come out to define and clean out existing flowerbeds in 2025. We paid $4000.00. The borders are already falling apart and we are told by other professionals that there is not proper concrete support for their work and now the work is falling apart. We are not happy and the clean out is all coming back.
10/12/26 - Emailed Nelson on 7/27/26 and have had ZERO response from them. Two months is more than enough time to have ZERO feedback. For those considering using them, I highly advise you ask exactly what they plan to do, then get 2 or 3 more opinions. We've had people out to discuss fixing the problem and they all agree they never would've mortared between the stones and that the underlayment for the stones was insufficient. The pictures show the worst part.
10/28/2026 - Nelson sent a crew out and they reset all of the borders, cleared the beds, and added new mulch. It looks like it was done better. Changing our review to 5 stars based on their response.

Amber, we're sorry to hear you're experiencing these issues. We'd like the opportunity to investigate your concerns and review your project with our team. We worked with several customers sharing the Johnson last name in 2025, but we're unable to identify which project this review relates to based on your first name. Please email us at [email protected] with your address or any additional project information so we can identify your project and look into this further.

Nelson Landscaping replaced our old railroad tie retaining wall with a block retaining wall. Communication and responsiveness from beginning to end was flawless. They did a great job of matching existing block and tying in seamlessly. We received nine inches of rain in the two days following project completion with no issues. All of the people we dealt with from sales, project manager, foreman and on site employees were very professional. The only issue we had was a hiccup with an error in the original estimate. The company was easy to work with to make it right, and the final cost was in line with other estimates we received. We would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to friends and family.

Very pleased with Nelson landscaping. From the time Andy came out to discuss initial ideas to the final tree planting, everyone from the company was very polite and professional. When we had questions it was easy to get an answer in a reasonable amount of time.
While our project wasn't massive, we did have multiple crews come through for the various stages and they all did a fantastic job on their portion. We had our concrete patio extended, roughly twice again the original size, a pergola put in over roughly half the extended patio with electrical fixtures, lights and fans. Had 3 new trees planted in yard. In addition the sprinkler system was modified and french drain installed.
Would not hesitate to use Nelson landscaping again.

From the very beginning to the end I received top notch service. Especially important was the fantastic communication between the sales person, project manager and crew. Everyone was on time and delivered 100% to my satisfaction. I had drainage issues in my yard and the whole team provided expert advice and were able to diagnose and fix the problem. The crew, Christian, Walter, Fito, and Martin were very professional, pleasant and cleaned up everything so my yards and driveway, sidewalks, etc. were cleaner than when they arrived! I can highly recommend Nelson Landscaping for any issue/needs you have- you will not be disappointed! I will continue to use them for all my landscaping needs including sprinkler service and maintenance.

When I initially reached out for an estimate on a new irrigation system installation, Nelson Landscape was quick to respond and provide a competitive quote. Communication throughout the entire process was clear, timely, and professional. They kept me informed about when someone would contact me to discuss the project and provided a realistic start date.
Once we agreed on the scope of work, Nelson Landscape handled everything from securing permits to coordinating utility locates on my property, making the process completely hassle-free. Their installation team was courteous, professional, and respectful of my property. They completed the work efficiently and left the area clean when the job was finished.
I was very impressed with the level of customer service and professionalism from start to finish. I would highly recommend Nelson Landscape to anyone looking for irrigation system installation or landscaping services. I left some photos from the day of install to roughly 1 month after irrigation was installed.
